Mythic WZFF Fix?

I recon if rather than however many times you can play on the weekend got changed to “attempts” it would be smoother as in bad players and trolls would be filtered out weekly, how this would work would be I have X amount of attempts say 10 if I were to win I would still have 10 attempts if I lost it would tick down to 9 attempts left if i lost again 8 attempts left and the only way to re gain attempts would be if you win/weekly resets.

hes saying people that loose 10 games in a row shouldnt be able to play anymore

Not really. You can get lucky and get a nice team of random Spartans and win without a sweat.

yeah, especially when im always top 3 point wise and i’ve yet to win a game. i’m not bad and dont know if i can get an accurate guess on MWZFF attempts but i wanna say 20-25 tries.

I’ve been playing a fair bit solo and was actually solo when I cleared MWZFF but everyone had a score of at least 20k with the top two over 30k.

thats the problem, its not to hard its just not everyone carries their own weight

What makes MWZFF hard as hell is when the Black Eye skull is activated. Actually, I’d say it’s that skull alone that makes WZFF Mythic difficulty. Toss that little setting into Legendary/Heroic WZFF and see how difficult winning becomes.

But anyway, I don’t like the sound of being punished because I keep getting -Yoinked!- up on the hardest difficulty of a game designed to throw as much -Yoink- at you as possible in a short amount of time.

Basically this. The OP’s suggestion isn’t a good one, since it wouldn’t be able to differentiate between trolling/etc and the game giving people the proverbial middle finger by having the Defend the Generators come up four games in a row (And thus, a very very very high chance of four games lost in a row) or somehow being stuck at lv2 REQs when the forerunner Defend the Armory shows up - or even worse, having it be the opening round.

It’s a brutal game mode, made even worse at times through some of the objectives it can throw at you. Let’s not punish people even further by barring them from playing it because of losing at a game mode that more or less says “We don’t expect you to win”

Most of the losses in my game history in Mythic have come from Defend the Armory (Forerunner) and Defend the Generators rounds being given to us.

I’m not sure that MWFF attracts the trolls or griefers in a way that significantly affects W/L numbers. Any MWFF game I’ve been in (and I admit that’s not many) I’ve seen teammates busting butt to try to clear each stage. Randoms or otherwise, it’s just a very difficult gametype to win, and as Sylxeria said it wouldn’t be fair to give someone a “cool down” when they legit tried and failed to win out of 10 attempts due to some bad draws.

Yeah it’s tough to lose. And it’s frustrating when there are players who may not be helping to the level you’d like (if on purpose or not). But luckily you can just go ahead and try it again as soon as the match is over. :slight_smile:

Well said. I got lucky on my first try this week and was able to complete it first go. But we got lucky and defend the generator came in the 3rd round which by then we had 2-3 ultra wraiths.
