has anyone here actually won a WZFF on mythic? last weekend it was sanctum and this weekend its darkstar, both maps that i usually do pretty good on, top 3 on legendary as a rule, but on mythic i seem to spend more time dead than in the game!! i have altered my play to do every-bloody-thing at range so that i don’t get hit but i still don’t know how it is possible to win in this format!! any hints?
Not yet, made it TO round five every time, ranked in the top 3, but no, haven’t beaten one yet.
i almost, last knigths-last round on attack on sanctum. the knigth hide inside a base. couldnt get him with the scopions or the wasp the team had.
defend the ‘generators’ on darkstar did my head in tonight!! that level is bad enough without the added bonus of the skulls.
I haven’t been able to win one either. The enemies are bullet sponges especially the bosses.
Played one so far last night, was a victory.
All Fireteam members were fellow random Spartans.
If you mean how many times I’ve won, I don’t remember.

I’ve got to round 5 three times but haven’t managed to complete it yet.
Those 4 knights that spawn before Mythic Warden take a long time to take down, which means that there’s only about 50 seconds to fight the Warden.
Only once and that’s about it.

Took me about six-ish times to beat Mythic Prospect and I was winless on Mythic Temple after a similar amount of attempts. Before the servers crashed last night I beat Darkstar on the first attempt, but it was definitely more challenging than usual on that map.
I may have missed a weekend somewhere in there.
My only tips are to make sure you have at least half of your team pulling out tanks, wraiths, heavy duty vehicles for Round 5. I played with Randoms so you’ll just need to show you’re committed. As soon as I hit REQ 6 I pull out a Scorpion and wheelman. The hungest Plasma Caster (forget the name) cleaned up those pesky final bosses on Darkstar that are tucked away from vehicle access.

I am not trying to gloat, I just wanted to point out you can get LUCKY and get a nice random team of good players together.
It happens rarely, but it is definitely not impossible.
However, on Mythic I’d say the vehicles + wheelman are your best friend.
Walking on foot is suicide as your shield will not recharge and before you’ll be able to reach any enemy (mostly they are in groups) you’ll get shot down immediately, even from another end of the map.
So… vehicles. Anything that doesn’t leave you vulnerable.

1/3 games.
We lost by a few seconds for the other two.
only ever made it to round 5, never finished it
I played about 4 times I think… Won two
One time in mythic I pulled out a Hannibal Scorpion…
Received a short barrage of fire from grunts with plasma pistol
Standard elite in group of grunts throws plasma grenade at me
I blow up from that single nade
i dont think that there has been many people that beat mythic wzff
Personally I have not yet. I played it the first week it came out and it seemed majority of players did not want to use heavy reqs or they did not have any to use. For now I will be doing legendary to heroic to complete my firefight win commendation. Hopefully once I am done with that players will have decided to use heavy reqs again.
