Mythic Warzone, Is it fair?

Look, it might just be me or maybe those of you out there are able to relate to this. But I feel as if Mythic Warzone is sometimes so difficult it’s to the point it’s just not even fair, you can have be in a team which absolutely power through the first four rounds of the game.
Then the fifth round begins…
After defeating around 2 - 4 bosses that take around 3 - 4 minutes in a five minute round, you are only given 2 minutes at best to defeat the final boss, which is usually a Warden Eternal.
5 minutes for the fifth round just does not seem to be enough time, the difficulty is just insane! And if one of the five rounds involve you needing to protect the base, it’s pretty much a game over depending what round your on.
What I’m trying to say is that the game mode seems to be a bit to extreme, in my opinion. That it needs an increased amount of time, especially for that last round.

I completely agree with you. I don’t even play Mythic FF any more because the difficulty setting is maxed out, Each round has different skulls that get activated at random, and its near impossible to get enough points to get to a REQ that can actually help when you get to round 5 (if you even make it that far). Most times we can’t even get passed round 3 because you gotta eliminate 3 Phaetons or something with REQs no powerful than teir 4. I really do think the game is just TOO much

Well being MYTHIC it’s not really supposed to be fair. It’s supposed to be insanely hard that is why it’s called mythic. I don’t even bother to play it as that juice isn’t worth the squeeze if you know what I mean.

That’s kind of like asking if LASO is fair. It’s one of those things where they made it really difficult on purpose to see if you’re up for the challenge.

It is supposed to be insanely difficult. That is literally the reason it exist. The only thing that makes it worse are those pathetic AFK players who move the controller every once in a while to prevent from being booted my the game.

Yes and no yes it’s fair if you have a good team but not if you have afk players it does make it a lil unfair

If it is/was the case that no one ever beat it then I would say OP’s point is valid, but if people have done it, then ergo it can be done.

Get a squad of 8 if you can’t do it solo. Becomes a breeze when you got 8 players on the same page. Problem solved.

It’s really easy if you have a few people who know what to do

Given the large payout, it’s pretty fair. Plus, the whole point is that it’s meant to be an unorthodox challenge with enemies having tons of buffs and players not having all tools at their disposal.

I have won many mythic WFF game. Something that really helps is to know what is coming in the next round so you can get the apropiate weapon/vehicle, for example in march on stormbreak at round 5 usually you need to kill 3 elite and 4 hunters. In that case I request a banshee and splatter the elites so we have time to kill the hunters inside the base and the best vehicle to kill the boses inside the bases are the wraiths ultra. Or if you need to destroy banshess the bes weapon to destroy them are the spartan laser. Another thing that helps is that you need to focus fire on one enemy. If your alone fighting a hunter, it will take to much time to kill him.

Most of the time you need be lucky to have easy rounds, for example raid on apex 7 has the easiest round 5, where you need to destroy a phantom and a wraith, but it also has a difficult one where you need to destroy a grunt goblin an 2 hunters.

Finally as every other halo playlist it depends too much on how good your teammate are, and also how many weapons or vehicles. they spawn. It so fun to play the round 5 when everybody has a hannibal scorpion/mantis, helios pheaton or wraiths ultra.

Warden Eternal usually isn’t my problem with Mythic Firefight. It’s usually either the defend the Garage/Temple or protect the generator/Forerunner structures ones that have me annoyed. Because there are certain maps (coughDarkstarcough) that literally shove them into a nook and then send a tidal wave of Crawlers, Knights, and Soldiers to flood the main ways in. And once even ONE group of them gets in, they absolutely DESTROY the generators in less than a few seconds as well as annihilate anyone who tries to get in to stop them.

Call me what you will, but there’s a certain level of anger to be had when spawning a weapon and IMMEDIATELY losing it because I turned the corner and died from 3 shots that come flying in my direction. Or spawning a tank on Darkstar or any other map that shoves two generators in a small area that I can’t get to and then suddenly getting defend this/that or protect this/that.

I think it’s fair people always want a challenge and h5 has one here and I love it the only thing I would change if they made a level min to join for instance I person who ranked level 8 is not going to have the required reqs to be of any help compared to a guy that is level 50 who has unlocked and acquired them over time playing
next time u play look at the people levels 9/10 times the people with the higher level do better

I agree that the point of it is to be super difficult, that’s fair enough. But I’ve got to say, I always get annoyed by people saying get a squad, for many of us, it’s just not that easy, particularly if none of your friends actually play Halo.

Sounds more like bad games design. If they had dropped the timer, made it about limited lives then fine but sometimes no amount of skill or dps can win the final match…the timer can make it near impossible to complete sometimes but there are times where it seems fine.

Fair? Yes.
Frustrating at times? Absolutely.

I can actually understand having trouble with the end boss(es) on these. Not completing that, while disappointing, is understandable.

What infuriates me the most is when in say round 2 we get thrown a ‘defend the generator’ scenario.
No one has any reqs unlocked. Respawn times are longer than you’d expect, and the enemies shred the core.

Even with a decent team, I probably still lose this objective ~50% of the time.

It’s like AgentMaryland93 said.

Yeh the round 2 ‘defend the generator’ is ridicilious. There’s times where the round starts, takes me way too long to get there, when I get there…the team is unable to do anything plus there usually shooting the generator before anyone can get anywhere near them.

It’s fine if you get annoyed by people saying get a squad together, but that’s just a simple truth that makes life a whole lot easier in this game. If you can’t put a squad together for [insert reason here], then you just can’t and it’s a problem you have to deal with if you so choose. But for those who can get a squad of 8 together, be they friends or otherwise, then Mythic WZFF becomes a little less of a pain.

The timer is an issue on any difficulty, but I doubt it’s something they were gonna change just for one game mode so they were left with the easy option of just upping the difficulty. I think limited lives would only work depending on how many you got and then the issue is finding the right balance. I’ve been in games where I died 2 or 3 times in the first round on Heroic just because of the swarms of auto aiming Prometheans, so I’d imagine on Mythic it would be a lot worse with the games not lasting very long due to people running out of them if you aren’t granted a bunch.

Yep the auto-aiming is pretty bad in general. I’ve been in plenty of games where I’ve been spawn killed by AI bots using auto-homing attacks, I really hope it’s gone in Infinite.
