This gamemode frustrates the living hell out of me for multiple reasons:
BTB maps - come on 343, that was the major complaint with multi-team too. Maps are so big for the player count it just becomes a snoozefest.
Respawn times - Still an 8-second respawn time, basically makes clipping and any form of multikills impossible. Also means the pacing is -Yoink-.
Team Snipers for casuals - Legitimately no skill required in this gamemode. At all. It’s basically SWAT, only shooting anywhere on the body is a one-hit kill.
Oathsworn is pointless - Nornfang -Yoinks- on Oathsworn even in close range because of the bullet magnetism. May as well just call it Mythic Snipers.
Literally no one asked for this - Do you remember when we could vote for weekend playlists? Like FFA Swat, no one wanted this but it’s here anyway, replacing the opportunity for Team Doubles or Social Slayer, or Super Fiesta.
Yeah, so basically, imo it sucks.
EDIT: Maybe I should’ve conveyed my point a little more clearly. I do think this playlist is bad, but I can see why people enjoy it. My main complaint is that it is taking the weekly social spot over something more requested by the community like Doubles or regular snipers, when it should just be in an action sack playlist with Super Fiesta and the like.

Actually many people are excited about the idea of the playlist because they can use the Nornfang. That idea alone makes it worth it. Don’t speak for everyone.

Ummm… I’m not speaking for everyone dude, I said it frustrates the living hell out of ME. Regardless, I listed reasons it doesn’t work, in my opinion this is not a good way to experience the Nornfang. Nornfang is a weapon made for WZ maps, not Arena maps.
How does using it in warzone make it a better experience? I’ve only used a nornfang once before this game mode and i’m having more fun with it now than i did in warzone. I think this playlist is very fun
Don’t like it then don’t play it. Not every playlist will please every one. I for one LOVE that it’s on btb maps. What’s the point of having sniper rifles on small maps? Snipers should always be on btb maps IMO.

I’m not playing it. I’m expressing my concern that it’s taking up a spot for a playlist like doubles or snipers (which should be permanent) when it should be thrown in an action sack playlist (which again should be permanent).
I’m also sharing my opinion on it, 'cause forums are for discussing and sharing your opinions. This “don’t like it, don’t play it” argument bugs me. Should I not give feedback/criticism on something I don’t like? Sound logic there.

Give me a break. If you want your overly competitive playlists, then go play HCS Arena and Team Slayer. Let us who actually enjoy sitting back and playing some crazy gametypes do it at peace.

I don’t want it to be super competitive, I said I would prefer SOCIAL slayer. Are people even reading my points? Except from the no-skill required bit, which part of my complaints even suggests I would prefer it to be competitive?

I also enjoy crazy gametypes, I even made a thread saying super fiesta was my favourite mode in Halo 5. But stuff like this belongs in an action sack playlist, weekly social should be Social slayer imo.

My apologies, I must have misunderstood your point. I find myself agreeing with you, all of these crazy weekend playlists all belong in a dedicated action sack playlist, rather than popping up once a year. We also need a dedicated social slayer playlist that’s around all the time too, but if that can’t happen, then having it as a weekend playlist work too.

It’s only a rotational social playlist. They have been doing these for awhile. It’s not taking a place of any other playlist. Give feedback sure but don’t try and ruin it for those who do like it. I hate swat and infection but I don’t harp on them and try to say they need to be removed and never offered again… I know there are players who do enjoy it.
The respawn times definitely do suck, too bad 343 will probably never fix it. The only entertaining thing to happen on this playlist is to watch my teammates splatter enemy Nornfang users with a warthog, oh the HUMILIATION hahahahaha
I played 1 game. That was enough. It’s a bad playlist… and this coming from someone who wants more casual Arena playlists. While we’re discussin bad ideas, why not make it Twin Jewels/Didact’s Signet because those commendations are more difficult to finish off?
