It is pretty obvious that all you have to do is run around with the Nornfang as it is infinitely better than the Oathsworn except maybe at close range when the enemy is facing away from you.
So an idea to make it so that both weapons have a use would be to do a Mythic SwordSnipers gamemode, where you have one shot kill Nornfangs, but also have the Prophet’s Bane. It would add diversity to the game instead of just see and shoot with the Nornfang.
Then it would be reminicent of the Binary slayer from Halo 4, where we have a one shot weapon and the sword.
Nah. Everybody would just hide with active camo, and the game would slow to a crawl. No thank you.

If the shotgun is replaced by a sword that would be mythic stabby snipers or mythic swordy snipers.
I think it wouldn’t be very fun. You’d get shot from across the map, then the enemy will switch to the Bane, making them nearly impossible to find. Or it’d just be Team Sword Camp.
I agree with both arguments where the camo would add diversity but then people would just camp with it. It would ruin the gamemode.
Let’s just stick with our shotty snipers now.

Why don’t you have one of the smurfs build it as a custom game and see how it works? Could be interesting.
That would make the game all campers, either sitting in a corner hiding with the sword to avoid getting sniped
or hiding in a corner to snipe the sword users to prevent themselves from getting sworded while running around

How about a middle-ground? 1 Prophet’s Bane in the middle of the map on select maps… could be fun.
If you give people camo, they’re just going to pull n HLG by getting a few kills, followed by hiding for the rest of the game. It wouldn’t end well
I tried this in customs 3 days ago and oh my how quickly it got boring.
Maybe instead they should replace the Oathsworn with the Blaze of Glory…

I’m sure OP understands this.
Regardless, OP I think it would then make the PB become too powerful. Thing is it is really hard to see if someone has PB if they are just stood still making it very difficult to use the sniper. I feel everyone would just be running around with the Sword instead of using the sniper.

The gamemode he described is basically Binary Slayer from Halo 4.
Which was actually kinda fun…BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO BE ON BTB MAPS AND NOT ARENA ONES…

I just want to know why the Oathsworn is the worst shotgun, I prefer the Blaze of Glory and lawgiver over this weapon
