I have confirmation from Mr. Pokephile that the mythic tier reqs that give your Spartan a buff, whether it be a red damage buff, blue speed buff, or most importantly the Prophet Bane’s permanent camo buff, CANNOT be toggled on/off.
I feel this is an important feature to implement in the next update, or before if possible. The CE magnum, which has been in forge for awhile, doesn’t have this option either. It comes without the speed buff in forge, BtB, and infection, but with it in Warzone and Fiesta. Why is this?
The main reason this would be a big deal is forgers that want the Prophets Bane to be a power weapon or used for a mini game, maybe even have alpha zombies hold it, may not want people to have access to permanent camo. These req weapons in the campaign didn’t give any buff, which makes sense.
I personally want to include Jorge’s Turret in my infection map, but I feel like a glowing red survivor breaks the theme of a dark and grungy escape from the bunker.
Tl;dr
Please lets get req weapons the ability to toggle buffs in future updates.
What does Prophet’s Bane do special besides make you invisible? Wouldn’t that just make it a tier 2 sword, whatever that may be called?

Agreed. While, in some specific instances, a workaround can be made (like Vorpal Talon instead of Prophet’s Bane, as metioned above), this isn’t the case with everything, and the ability to remove effects from any REQ weapon would help to rid that issue entirely.

Prophet’s Bane has increased movement speed and insane lunge distance.
Also you can’t appreciate how beautiful the weapon is when it’s always invisible in your hands!

Why not use the regular turret? You don’t have to try to force REQ weapons on to your map. Many REQs, mythic REQs especially, are far too powerful to be balanced fairly in regular arena style game play anyway. If it’s not working out, don’t try to force it. The regular weapon variants are still there, as well as less powerful variants that aren’t mythic that you could try.
I agree 120%. I want to turn off the damage boost on Nornfang to see how much damage the weapon actually does in canon

If you jump then scope to engage stabilizers, you will “decloak” which makes the weapon visible. General Trex is correct though, the weapon is exceptionally beautiful in hand.
I agree completely. I would love to Toggle off- the Spartan Traits/Buffs for Mythic Weapons. I love the Look of the Prophet’s Bane and am unable to see it really… >.>
It was soo cool running around on Truth with it in the Beta… If I could get the Option to toggle it off- I could rebuilt more of a Beta Layout and even if it’s just for me or Customs… >.>
It was just recently I realized I can still disable the Shields on Truth like in the Beta (I thought they took that Feature out), haha… xD

Prophets bane no camouflage would be the thing I’d ask for, but holy cannoly did the forge team bust there butts this update, and they did a great job.
I still think we should just be able to make custom energy swords really, that would be innovation.
I’m definitely not hating, I am loving this update currently and everything that came with it! I just think this was a bit of an oversight and something they can remedy simply in the future. As long as we don’t let them forget about it!
I hope that they can toggle off buffs soon so that they can remake Truth like it was in the Beta! Remember… when Truth had a power weapon at the middle that was actually worth fighting for?

Prophet’s Bane has a slight speed boost, farther lunge than a normal energy sword, and swings faster.
I’m with this. I’ve actually had this idea a while ago. It could be something in “Object Properties”, that only for the Mythic Weapons there’s an special feature like “Weapon Powerup” that you can toggle on and off. It’s also good to Machinima purposes between others. BTW I’d like to add plz allow to change Spare Ammo for REQ variants (in which most of them you change it but nothing happens) and add the Loadout attachments and Scopes that aren’t in Forge (Threat Markers, Sound Dampeners, Hybrid & COG sights), it’d be nice. I know that’s a bit out of topic but I wanted to add it.
I think it would be great to be able to deactivate the buffs. Ever since we got to use the Prophet’s Bane in the beta, I’ve been wanting to play around with it a bit while not being invisible. It may just end up being a regular Tier 2 sword, but at least it would look cool!
Glad to see so many agree. It would be great for Machinima purposes too.
