Who do people play mythic firefight when they have no intention of using the weapons/vehicles required to beat it?
Just had a match on a.r.c. where the 4 hunters had spawned inside the base and almost everyone stayed outside and killed grunts/jackals outside the base. Recipe for success that is. Barely any damage done to the hunters before time expired.
I single-handedly took down the 4 banshee raiders using a couple of endgames. I don’t think anyone else did any damage to them at all.
It sounds to me like the people in that game were taking out grunts and jackals for the bonus points. I’ve seen it done in my games too. Players will pick off the other enemy units and then swoop in to get the final hits on the boss so they can get a technical boss takedown medal and boost their overall score for the game. In your case it sounds like they just didn’t want to risk REQ’s to beat the hunter bosses and gave up.
I used to play mythic quite often but pretty well stopped since this sort of thing happens quite often. I will only play it now with a team soo I know people will pull reqs
In fairness, Firefight isn’t just about killing the bosses. Someone has to keep the chaff from swarming you and it’s a role I frequently take on. I’ve seen so many players get killed by common soldiers while focusing on a boss it’s ridiculous. Firefight is a TEAM game-mode; some members of that team have to control a perimeter around the bosses.

I understand this, but in the game I referenced we would not have even made it past the banshee round. 7 people trying to shoot them down with BRs and magnums basically.
Also a quick easy way to boost your point to get higher reqs as well but if they failed before time ran out then I don’t know. Boosting kd or something
I’ve seen a lot of people say a good way to rank up is to play Mythic Firefight and just use loadouts against everything, because the XP payout for a losing game of Mythic is still comparable to the payout from a winning game on a lower difficulty. So my guess is, they just wanted XP and didn’t care about winning or losing. I’m sorry you had to be matched up with such selfish people. That’s one of the reasons why I stick to Heroic
