When they first added Mythic firefight they said that it would permanently be double XP if I’m not mistaken.
Since the double XP across all playlists had ended, it has now been removed from mythic by the looks of it.
Does anyone know if this will go back to double xp? Ive been nailing my 152 journey, currently at 150 and a third of the way to 151 but don’t think I have the motivation to continue if they have intentionally removed it.
If I’m not mistaken, the XP payout for Mythic was not altered at all for October. So, there should be no changes.

Hmm, with a legendary do boost I was able to get 27k per match but now with one it’s dropped to about 19k and the main variable that dropped is the one that gets doubled. (For being featured, then just a permanent double XP game mode)
Means it might take a lot more effort the get through 151 I guess
Yea its no mwzff no longer has double xp payout that it did before October it is now paying out 18-20k as before it was 25-27k per match. makes the 152 grind slower

I stand corrected. Perhaps what I read was the difference in payout of double XP WZFF with boost vs double XP MWZFF with no boost.
I’ve been having this issue too. Did they choose to remove the double exp? Or is it a glitch? Just making sure
I noticed my XP earnings to be reduced by half of what I have received before on both WZ Firefight mode, not just Mythic.

Hey Ninjaruu! I chatted with our Halo 5 sustain team and removing the Double XP from Mythic FF was an intentional choice. It now pays out in “standard XP” amounts but that those amounts are still more than regular FF. Sorry for the confusion and the lack of communication about this!

Thanks for doing this and it explains it. Well I guess I’m going to have to hang it up until Infinite is out, I just don’t have the motivation (hours and hours everyday) to try reach 152 by March.

wow that sucks its way too hard for only a 3k increase
Wow that is outrageous and disheartening. Double XP seemed like one last chance to get to max level. Surprised it would just be turned off, what gives?

Yeah unfortunately. I came back on because of mythic going permanent, then the sustain team decide to not sustain us by making us give up… GG hopefully they can see this and revert it back.
I’ve been on daily for the last two months solid, some days for like 10 hours grinding this xp. If it gets reverted I’ll continue, unfortunately it’s just not worth the time investment now.
I just cant understand some of the choice 343 has made lately
In the same boat as OP. I’ve been grinding this for months now (about to hit 150) and cannot commit enough time to meet a potential March-April release.
I really can’t understand why a decision like this would be made. Mythic has been putting out 2xp for as long as I can remember, so why turn it off now? It doesn’t hurt 343 in any way to keep 2xp on.
Hopefully this gets reverted but I’m not going to hold my breath.
The rewards for Mythic firefight are still not worth the time and effort. You only get a thousand or two more exp (if you win) than Heroic for a gamemode that you win 10-20% of the time. Heroic is so much faster and enjoyable to play in comparison.
no more double xp mythic? no reason to play the broken game mode full of afk farmers.

The issue is that going back to normal firefight and only getting 10k ish, give or take, is now basically 2 games comparing to the single game of mythic that was needed to be done for the same XP.
I am 150 and if I was to get 210k a day I’d hit 152 start of march. Getting that 210k XP still took hours, and now that needs to be doubled, not a chance. I’d rather not play and write off the time spent rather than keep going at that rate of XP gain
