I still see so many people using these sets. They give you a distinct disadvantage. It’s like that tracker perk in CoD. Your base set doesn’t put bright footprints behind you. I just spawn killed a guy in a game twice because his judgement flame was super bright off spawn. I also trailed him a few times where I wouldn’t have known he was their had he not been using it.
Yeah, whoever buys those is a sucker lol
You can think of it kind of like a taunt, like a “come and get me” cosmetic, similar to wearing all white or gold, a flaming helmet, or any Reach cosmetic. Some would even call wearing certain armors a taunt, like Hayabusa, Recon, Fotus, etc, and even now Cat Ears can be considered taunting.
People might be making themselves a target, but usually it’s because they want to stand out on purpose, and attract more attention. They’re the polar opposite of people that wear all dark colors and camp. They want the action to come to them. Whether or not they can put their money where their mouth is and hold their ground, that’s a different story. Some people just like to look good, but never win. You could compare this to flashy cars that are slow, vs fast sleeper cars that look like pieces of junk or completely normal. You would compare that to somebody smurfing. Someone that plays really good, but looks like a noob.
All I have to say is, if they are lit up like a Christmas tree, they want the attention. I go all black in Last Spartan Standing, but otherwise I’m fine with glowing in 4v4 or BTB where it doesn’t matter much.
My spartan looks like stale bread without the flame though.
Agreed, but some still look cool.
I don’t mind having one on playing BTB or social Arena but I definitely turn them off when I play ranked.
