I’m curious about that myself.

Probably one of Musa’s lieutenants. Thus still ONI, but also ‘something else’.

The reason that makes me believe that it’s someone close to or in service of Musa is that Halsey concludes that whoever he works for wants to ‘replace’ the Master Chief. In Initiation, Musa justifies the new Spartan program by explaining that they made a difference, but now that the Master Chief is gone, Humanity needs new heroes. He’s the one who initiates the Spartan-IV program. In addition, he dislikes Halsey’s method, so it’s in character for him to send one of his lieutenants to interrogate Halsey and blame her for how Spartan-II subjects were treated.

That makes sense.

Yeah hes very likely tied to the s4 program buy we have no confirmation.

It’s probably Johnson who came back from the dead. Because 343i logic.

It’s another Commander Rossbach.

It’s either a nameless Spartan IV who was simply there to act as the driving (antagonistic) force behind the cutscene narrative.

Or the conceptual-development pre-Nightfall version of Agent Marlowe, who would later become Jameson Locke.

He is the default interrogation guy. An interactive prop to provide a background so that Halsey wasn’t talking to herself. I doubt he needs any more backstory. However him being Sully could have made things interesting.

That would be neat if it was Sully.

Maybe it was one of the Spartan IIs which was mutated during the augmentation process. they were assigned to ONI were they not? “You’re something else”…

Very unlikely: Halsey would recognize him. She speaks of ‘my Spartans’ in front of him, and he says ‘Tell me about the children. (…) You kidnapped them’. Both systematically use the third person to refer to the Spartans.

It was an higher ONI-Officer,maybe even Locke in a prototype stadium.
A little bit off-Topic:
Whats the songs name which plays during the Interrogation?

Very true. I missed that. You’re right.

It’s Sacrifice, on the second volume of the Halo 4 soundtrack. Very good piece in my opinion.

Halsey can pick out her spartans anywhere. In the Ghost of onyx book she could guess the spartans while still in armor.

Until someone tells me otherwise, I’m gonna say its Sully, working under orders from Musa to pick some additional stuff out of Halsey’s brain.

Wasn’t there a theory that he was Jun from noble.

I think they would make him sound more like Jun if that was the case.

Was no one paying attention!? Listen to the voice! It’s obviously Spike from Cowboy Bebop!
