The lighting is too different. The lights coming from the hole are yellow, while the lighting above-ground in Impact is clearly white/blue. It doesn’t make sense that the lighting is so different, if the lights do come from the surface.
The gritty features on the map don’t make sense. He said that each map has it’s own texture, like the clean white features of Impact. You can tell that there is a darker, dirtier look to the objects in the cave, and this clearly does not fit with the texture above.
The rocks don’t match. The stalactites in the cave do not match those from above-ground on Impact. The Impact rocks are black, while the rocks below are brown. Again, it doesn’t make sense that these would be different.
Also, I noticed that there is a dirty look to the objects on Ravine. I’m thinking that if 343 didn’t leak the 3rd map in their own video, then the cave is probably from Ravine, much like the grifball court is on a map, we just haven’t seen where.
I’m thinking Impact still, it doesn’t make sense to have a cave inside an Asteroid on Impact, then another cave that is likely pretty similar on another map.

Did you read the OP? At all?
I stated that the color pallet does not match that of Impact, leading me to believe that it isn’t.
How can you explain the dirt on the walls in the cave? How can you explain the clear white on the Impact surface?
While the lighting and rocks being the same may not be concrete evidence, I don’t understand why they would have gritty objects below and clean objects above if it’s the same map.

It looks the same to me. And yes, I did read the whole OP.
No. The textures on the set pieces in the cave are different. There’s no way the game is dynamic enough to change all the set piece textures ON THE FLY just because a player moves below the surface.
Halo 4 is good… but it ain’t THAT good. And you can’t “guarantee” anything. You’re neither a developer, nor have you actually played or Forged in Halo 4’s Forge yet. So settle down.
It’s entirely possible that the cavern is a subarea of Ravine, not Impact, because the lighting seems similar and it’s possible that the specialty pieces for Ravine area dirty/overgrown forerunner blocks.

You’re blind. Or need a better monitor. Or you just realized he’s right and don’t want to admit it.
Honestly, it’s got to be one of those three. I’m leaning towards the last one, in all honesty.
The pieces look NOTHING alike. The ones in the cave look full of dirt, are more of an off-white/tan colour, and don’t look like part of a space-station at all. They look more like stone/ruins type set pieces, not like pieces of a Lunar base in space.

Now THIS seems more likely than it being an extension of Impact.
Because honestly, in the Forge demo we saw at RTX, it was an earlier build than this (e.g. Impact) probably is, and the very few pieces we saw during the early RTX demo could very well have been placeholder pieces, because they didn’t want to reveal too much of Forge that early on.

you are wrong, you will see. Oh and I wasnt the one bouncing of the walls proclaiming this and that not to mention writing in CAPS. So you sir, plz “settle down”.
I honestly didn’t think it looked like impact either…even with only a second to look at it, I interpreted as a different map. It looks dirty, very bright, dingy…sorta like something out of Tomb Raider.
So my guess is that they showed the two new maps up top, and Ravine on the bottom two. If so, it kinda sucks. A cave-relic like map would be cool but I was expecting something else more creative; like Impact. Maybe one out to sea or on a snowy mountain pass? Still looks good…but I see a lot of potential for Forge being lost because its starting to look like an after-though =/

Explain to me, with actual facts and not assumptions, why I “will see that I’m wrong”.
