Hello everyone, I noticed that the community is going wild about the infinite tech preview and I love to see it. Gameplay is awesome and truly a modernized Halo feel to it. Everything seems to be well so far, I have only few minor complaints about the game and I could say most of the players feel same way. Halo infinite is shaping up to be the best Halo game yet. But … Now I see some people want to make changes to the core gameplay, art style, want to get rid of coatings, change sprint, make aim assist like in H5 ( I really hope not , less aim assist is only a good thing ) I hope 343i keeps doing what they’re doing right now with the game and don’t let the loud minority ruin the future of the game. You can’t please everyone and I truly hope 343i is not trying to please everyone. Because that’s what killed Halo 5 for me. Limiting warzone fireteams, nerfing guns, removing good maps from the rotation… list goes on and on. Look at Fortnite or Apex and what happened to them after changing the meta all over again.
On the topic of coatings, I don’t think anyone wants to get rid of coatings, rather they don’t want it replacing the ability to choose a primary and secondary color that has been a staple of the series since Halo 2.
I don’t think much will change in their plan with launch so close. Hopefully they have learnt from the mistakes of Halo MCC and Halo 5. Both games are now in a really good place, but the success of Infinite will depend on a really solid launch to help capture. a large community which they can then grow.
I think having the game be free to play and on PC means that with a successful launch, this game could really take Halo back into the limelight.
