My wishes for Infinite

I have played Halo since around 2004 and I will always, ALWAYS love it. I know people have had issues with the 343i installments, but I personally enjoyed them. Maybe not as much as Halo 2/3/Reach, but I still enjoyed them. Halo 4 was my least favorite Halo game, but I even played that for a good while. Halo 5 is actually a really fun game imo. That being said, it does have its issues.

With the flighting program, it seems like they are really trying to listen to feedback from us fans, so I’m pretty hopeful for Infinite!

Here is my wishlist for Infinite’s campaign:

  • A very compelling story that aims to fix the various mistakes of Halo 5, but doesn’t pretend like Halo 5 never existed in the first place.
  • More Master Chief missions (if not only).
  • A good 15 - 20 hours worth of campaign gameplay.
  • A (semi-) open world style like Combat Evolved, but bigger.
  • Choices that affect the story in a small capacity. (A big capacity would be great, but I’m trying to stay realistic)
  • Attriox as a protagonist you are forced to team up with to stop Cortana, but who then ends up betraying the good guys (like Gravemind did in Halo 3)
  • A good close of the Master Chief saga. We have followed John for almost 20 years, so I really want a good payoff.
  • More Forerunner stuff.
  • DUAL WIELD!
  • SPLITSCREEN!

Multiplayer:

  • Halo 3 type ranking system.
  • Warzone Firefight without lag.

These are just some thoughts off the top of my head. I’m sure I’m forgetting plenty of things, but I feel like these are the most important points for me. I realize that I put a lot of campaign stuff in here and barely any multiplayer stuff, but that’s because I really enjoy Halo 5’s multiplayer, except for the 2 things I mentioned. I enjoyed Halo 5’s campaign as well, but I also recognize its many flaws and I’m incredibly passionate about Halo lore, so I would love to see them get back to what made Halo so popular when they got started.

Let me know what you guys would love to see from this game and please, let’s try to keep things civilized! Name calling will get us nowhere!

I’d love a campaign that long but if it follows the same format I’m sure it won’t be that long, at most 8 hours.

EDIT: By the way, splitscreen is confirmed if you didn’t know already.

My idea is to have customisable campaign encounters. First of all, AI in Forge is a long shot, especially if the environment is fully player-made. So as a compromise, let us re-populate the campaign environments with our own enemies and objectives. Then we can truly have an Infinite Halo experience hurrdurr.
