I have truly never known what nostalgia feels like until I played this map, I thought I did… But I didn’t…
Halo 4 plays totally different to 3 but every time I play the pit I get that good old competitive Halo 3 feeling again! You can even still snipe through those tiny gaps in the barriers! Thanks 343, best 800 Microsoft points I’ve ever spent, I’d of paid it JUST for this map 
Would love to see some more quality map remakes, maybe for Halo 4’s birthday or something
Agree. Not even Haven is as competitively balanced as The Pit. I’m glad to see it in Halo 4!
The Pit is fun times…no doubt about it…I’m still waiting to play a CTF game on it…I used to love those in Halo 3.
The Pit is my favorite map of all time and I’m glad it’s back. I can’t wait for the AGL version of the map! 
It’s amazing to finally get a remastered map from Halo 3. But I feel it’s kinda off due to Halo 4’s fast pace combat.

You can literally just play Halo 3 and play on the map, a Halo CE or 2 map should of been remade

Gee, sure would if I had my Halo 3 Mythic copy and that others still played.
It’s a good map…
But sprint can get annoying, and make it seem small.

Not 343’s fault Bungie made you need to have all DLC and you don’t have the Mythic disk

I wasn’t blaming 343 or Bungie. Just saying it’s no fun to play The Pit on Halo 3 since I am the only person in it.
At least give credit that we didn’t get the worst of Halo 3 maps like Snow Bound or Narrows.

I don’t see why we needed a second Halo 3 map remade though, why not bring a PC exclusive CE map? Ice Fields would of been great, same with Infinity and Danger Canyon
Yeah, the agl variant is going to be really nostalgic. I was watching the GC’s online when it was at RTX, and I think it was Team Twitch and Bravo, ctf on the pit, it was so intense, I was literally screaming when I watched it. Can’t wait.

I didn’t think it had been implemented yet.
Maybe it hasn’t then. I haven’t purchased the DLC I just saw that pitfall and vertigo was listed in many of the playlists and I assumed when the bundle was released the maps also put it the other playlists.

I would think they would come up at least a bit more often than the other maps. A lot of people bought Champion’s.
Pitfall is definitely a great remake and is extremely fun to play. IMO Halo 4 should have contained more remakes of past maps from the start. Don’t get me wrong, new maps are great and refreshing, but I feel there is no point in a new map if it is worse than past maps from the series. I would rather see Halo 5 have lots of good remakes than lots of poor new maps (as in Halo 4) just for the sake of change.
