My Two Cents on HALO Infinite Tech Preview 9/25

Hi All,
Just want to thank Everyone at 343, especially the person who decides on who gets an Invite on the Tech Preview Demo, for the hard work done on HALO Infinite - it has been AWESOME.

Having been on the 1st tech preview, I was real happy to see a lot of the changes made in the 2nd tech preview.
A lot of detail work done on the Spartans and the map environment, more vibrant color, and some minor environment effects (I was in PVP Recharge arena and a fire extinguisher spun in and shooted out smoke).
Ravager, in Academy Weapon Drills, has been improved immensely that I can fire it and know where and what I’m going to hit, and also does plasma area-effect damage.
I love that Training Mode has been added to Academy, where we can go into a “mock” battle but have options to change enemy difficulty, number of allies and our weapon layouts.

Things that need to be changed for HALO Infinite is in -

Body Type in Customize - Body & AI - only the black body suit, around the waist, under the heavy armor, changes and it looks stupid - it’s a waste option. It would be so much better to just create both a male and female Spartan body option and that’s it or just get rid of it of the option if it’s not going to be done right.

AI Model in Customize - Body & AI - Seriously, is this HALO or is this Destiny ?! - can’t we get humanoid AI constructs not simple shape AI constructs ? It’s disappointing.

Armor Coating in Customize - Armor Hall - I hate that we do not have the option to color our Spartan the way we want and we’re gvien a Destiny shader option, where we have to “buy” the color scheme. Players should be allowed to color the Spartan the way they want, using a pallette of both primary and secondary colors; any color outside of the primary and secondary pallette is fair game for 343 to offer in the Store or Battle Pass.

Customize - Armor Hall - First, the armor parts - helmet, torso, knee, and shoulder - that were shown in past HALO story (single player) campaigns starting in HALO ODST should be available immediately for Multiplayer players - players need to get a “taste” of what the cosmetic options are. And 2nd - the way it currently is set up for players to get armor parts in the Technical Preview, where we have to be at a certain level to get a certain helmet or armor item in Armor Hall or Battle Pass - completely blows and bullcrap - players should be allowed to use the XP they earned or the credits they will buy, to purchase what they can and want; this idea that players have to level up for a cosmetic item is idiotic.

What I want to see in HALO Infinite -

Larger 4x4 maps with area effect items, like exploding barrels or boxes, environments where a shot in the right place creates a deadly trap, and more minor area effected items, like exploding fire extinguishers or one shot just activates a coffee machine and you get a cappuccino.

Utility in Customize - Armor Hall - these items are only cosmetic items but it would be so cool if they have real function and purpose - I recently got the Mat-2550\Grenade Pack and I thought it would be so cool that it allowed my Spartan to carry three more grenades (like it shows) but of 1 type (not multiple) or, if I got the Medaux Unit/Type I and it allowed for slightly faster health and shield regen - as long players can purchase this using XP, not credits, and it’s not part of some loot box, then it won’t run afoul of what happened on Star Wars Battlefront 2, and notice - a player can only equip 1 Utility at a time, so it doesn’t really give a real unfair advantage.

Xbox owners need another tech preview where the mouse and keyboard option is available - I have seen a lot of posts complaining that it was not available, even though it is on the Options menu, so it would be nice to get another chance to try this game using Keybd and Mouse on the Xbox.

Thanks again for letting me in this tech preview, 343.
