My Trip to MLG Dallas Will Decide My Purchase

As many of you know, Halo 4 will be played in MLG Dallas on November 2nd.

From what I’ve seen this far, I hate 90% of what Halo 4 has turned into. And my only hope is that the MLG playlist that will be added will give me my ‘classic’ Halo feel.

My main worry as of now is the MLG objective games. If 343i doesn’t give us the options to customize EVERYTHING they’ve implemented in CTF games, then I can see it being ruined completely for competitive players.

So when I see what MLG has to work with, and the gametypes that have been customized for Dallas, then I will decide if this game is even worth buying.

For the record, I’m nowhere near MLG obsessed. But I enjoy a competitive challenge.

Do whatever you want to matchmaking, 343, but gives us the chance to fix it for customs.

Nice opinion of a game that has yet to come out

“fix it”

God you people can be pretentious.

Best of luck to you if you’re competing and I hope you enjoy Halo 4.

I hope you enjoy Halo 4 and I hope I see you on the battlefield after release

Oh God.

Negativity.

Sorry you don’t like the game

things change, and one can only hope that while new begginings may start, that they continue with pecies of the old, and still give heritage to where it all began.

One can only hope that the game is to their liking, and maybe an H2 Anniversary will release in due time so you have a game left to play.

One can still generate an opinion on an unfinished product, but must have knowledge in mind that the opinion may be subject to change, exactly like he openly stated.

My main concern with Halo 4 is 1. Region Locked so my NTSC-J Xbox can’t play my NTSC Pre-order.
2. Lag due to my Xbox location. They better have it lag less than Reach…

But apart from that, YAY! Gameplay is fast despite low kill times, meaning aiming is a big factor but gameplay speed isn’t boring!

Can you at least try the game with default settings? There’s no need to strip the game of everything in order to enjoy it and have a competitive feeling. Everyone who’s played it has said they loved it, including MLG players.

I hope you don’t get it. The community needs fewer competitive cretins like you.

Love is a strong word, I think relief that it is not as bad as the GI issue made it sound is a better word. H1 and H2 are loved games within the competitve community, since then it has been a struggle with all the stuff they have changed and added that can be described as “one-sided” game mechanics.

The thread title is misleading, if you’re attending MLG Dallas to play and compete for Halo 4, you’re clearly dedicated to the game enough. There’s no way you wouldn’t buy it.

There will probably be a “Classic” playlist eventually for matchmaking. So you can play Vanilla Halo.

Alright, maybe they didn’t “love” it, but they certainly enjoyed it. Many said it was better than Reach.

If you purchase or don’t purchase, it won’t make any difference to 343i. 1 person doesn’t really change anything… If thousands of you had the same problem, i think 343i would make drastic changes

im competitive and i dont think its ruined. please stop putting words in my mouth man.

you want a competitive challenge? PLAY THE DAMN GAME THE WAY IT WAS MADE! learn to overcome obstacles and hardships in your damn game! stripping it of EVERYTHING and playing the EXACT WAY that YOU want it to be does not make you good. your practice and dedication makes you good! I swear, if it were up to MLG to carry on the halo legacy, I don’t think id ever buy a halo game EVER again, because as competitive as I am, I am happy with what they are doing with halo. Now get your punk -Yoink- MLG -Yoink- to Dallas and play the damn game the way it was made! i swear all you -Yoinking!- MLG people are just -Yoinking!- try hard’s who care nothing for the halo community at large. This is why no one has respect for MLG, because the people that pride themselves as the faces of MLG are just conceited -Yoink- holes who dont want to play a game that is not EXACTLY the way they want it. its people like you who REALLY piss me off!

/scolding rant.

Well, here’s to you having a great trip and being moved to purchase Halo 4… Cheers…
