1. Forge isn’t dead
2. Mendicant Bias brought them
3. Isabelle will become a main character in future Halo games
4. The Flood will make an appearance
5. Atriox will become a powerful ally against Cortana
6. Cameo appearance (by Cortana/Chief/Locke/Infinity)
Thoughts?
I disagree with the first point. Forge died. 36 years earlier. Dead characters should stay dead, not come back as the villain. Or at all. If Forge turns out to be alive, it would be absolutely disastrous.

On your first hope, I’d like to disagree entirely. Bringing back characters who without a doubt are DEAD just for fan service is a weak and low move for the story. It also ruins his sacrifice at the end of the first Halo Wars.
I’d love for Mendicant Bias to be involved in some fashion, we’ll see.
I wouldn’t mind Isabelle being a more important character in future titles, let us see what they do for her.
I miss The Flood as well, but I doubt they’ll be returning in this title. Maybe towards the end? I don’t think 343 is ready to reintroduce them into the story just yet.
Atriox absolutely should STAY as a villain. Atriox is a power hungry monster, he was established as such. It would be much more dynamic and interesting if that galaxy was dragged into a UNSC/SOS vs The Banished vs The Created situation rather than him just deciding to ally with the UNSC. The UNSC conflicts with his interests, he wants power, power that the UNSC would never let him or his faction of killers and mercenaries have.
I’d be okay with any cameos as long as they flow well with the story.
I think the trickiest part of this is that Halo Wars 1 was set in a time period well before the main series, not having an impact on them at all, but rather expanding upon the lore we already were aware of. An example of this would be Ripa, the Arbiter, the Covenant’s fascination with Forerunner tech, seeing a Spartan team in action, or just any new Spartan in the games and so on. It truly was a standalone game in the Halo universe. With Halo Wars 2 being set a few months after the events of Halo 5 and the legendary ending of Halo 5, it can be safely assumed these characters and their story will now affect Chiefs, Thel Vadaam and everyone else we’ve either cared to love or begrudgingly let accompany us. (I’m looking at you Tanaka).
With that in mind, I would absolutely LOVE to see Forge come back. It might even fit the story well since Johnson no longer is with us and the fans are dying for a character to fill his shoes. Palmer is weak replacement. But I digress. As for the flood, if they come back in this game, they have to be present in Halo 6 so I disagree there.
Isabelle as a main character would be very cool. As much as I don’t approve of Cortanas direction in the new saga, it would be awesome to see Isabelle act as a right hand AI to Cortana. Hell, her name even sounds like Beezlebub from Paradiso. (Beezlebub was Satan’s right hand demon.) Atriox would be cool to see in the main games, but rather than him, I’d MUCH rather see Let be an ally. It would bring back the old Elite design and maybe even fill in for the Shipmaster from Halo 2 & 3. I hope Atriox is killed in the finale of Halo Wars 2 and Let finds reason in helping the UNSC upon realizing the Arbiter is fighting to free Sanghelios.
As for cameos, it would be ideal to see the Infinity come in at the finale with back up for The Spirit of Fire and bring Atriox to his knees. Blue Team and Osiris would obviously be apart of the crew and maybe in the finale we can control Osiris and Blue Team as hero units and wreak havoc with Red Team. Likewise, after the battle is won, as fan service, we could see Isabelle construct a set of Mark VI for Chief as she did for Douglas. Introducing the old art style back to the Chief and returning him to his iconic look.
