My top 5 fixes to improve halo 4 Multiplaye

First lets get this out of the way:
Halo 4 is a decent game, and it has great potential, however there are some mistakes that must be addressed in order for Halo 4 to be successful.

The following are what I beleive are the 5 most important fixes that I hear people yearning for

1. Remove Join in Progress

  • Games are started without a full lobby
  • Players give up on the team more
  • Joining a game after one team has taken a huge lead is no fun
  • The win/loss statistic is worthless, now people just try to get kills
    at the very least, give players an option to prevent JIP

2. Add more Matchmaking playlists
-Team slayer without infinity/pro
-Big Team objective (like invasion)
-1 flag
-Multi team
-Team Doubles (maybe in future dlc that includes halo 3 size maps like the pit)

3. Social+Ranked Playlist division
-Blending Competitive and relaxed players results in frustration and dissatisfaction from both sides
-While this may cut playlist numebrs in half, there will be more total people playing halo online

4. Improve Custom games options
-There is no “infection” gametype, where the “infected” weapons and abilities can be modified
-No VIP,
-In flood you cannot have weapons on the map
-There is no way to change flag carry settings, instant respawn, Instant-grab objectives, sprint

5. Instant Spawning
-Makes players reckless, not caring about dying. Encourages running out in the open to get as many kills as possible without thinking about team. A 5 second punishment encourages players to be smarter and coordinate themselves with their team.
-Allows players to get cheap, easy revenge kills
This is not right in a halo game

Bonus: DLC Requests

-UNSC Flying Vehicles. The hornet was awesome
-Smaller maps, like the pit (for team doubles and better 4v4
-A map like zanibar/last resort for 1 flag CTF
-A big, flat, grassy map for forging
-A map like Avalanche for warthogs/Hornet combat and 2 flag CTF

Please give opinions but be concise, as I want to hear everyone’s thoughts without having to read giant essays

  1. No just refine it. Don’t let matches start without full teams and put more safe guards in for when players can join.

  2. Yes and no. Too many playlists can be a problem but I’d be in favor of the following:
    A. Putting CTF, KOTH, and Oddball in one objective list.
    B. Add objective gametypes in the already existing BTB playlist.
    C. A single FFA playlist that contains Regicide, Slayer, and objectives
    D. Adding a Doubles, Multi-team permanently. puts flame suit on I actually like 343i’s idea of rotational playlists and Swat, Snipers, Race, and Grifball being apart of that is ok with me.

Abilities like promethean vision give players an advantage they would never have had in Halo2/3. 343i have changed the gameplay so much that it no longer feels like halo. The worst thing is they aren’t going to change it. We will be stuck with this untill halo 5, at which time we will all be praying for something more like halo 3, only to be kicked in the stones again with more armor abilities that unbalance matchmaking.

  1. customs options, all you have to do is add gametypes like standard infection instead of modifying the current ones.

  2. I hope it doesn’t get nerfed as I am the only one using it apparently (and very good with it at that) but I would understand destroying the boltshot

  3. JIP options in spartan menu

  4. Instant respawn = gone

I agree with all 5 points but I also think that there are way more which have to chanched…and I doupt that will happen.
