First off, i know it’s a BETA (and a really early one at that). I know alot will probably be changed by the games actual release, but these are the things i like/dislike after playing just a few games.
The ground pound seems balanced, as it leaves you an easy target before and after the attack.
The thruster sometimes is like a teleport, the player just disappears and you don’t even know which way he thrusted. This is more than likely just a visual bug, or lag.
The sprinting/no shield recharge needs tweaked. If you have half shields, you can’t just take cover because your enemy will just rush you with sprint. But if you try to run to keep some distance between you, then you will still just get rushed because you will still only have half shields. I’ve already rushed quite a few players and got a kill that i wouldn’t have got in any other halo.
The aim assist is way too high. Quick scoping with the sniper is COD-easy. Also seen it with the pistol (just constantly hitting the scope before every shot, so that you get nearly 100% accuracy)
The shoulder charge could be really annoying. Havn’t seen it get used much, but if it’s like the titan’s charge ability in destiny, then yeah, it could be very annoying.
The AR needs it’s power/range reduced (especially when smart-scoped). I can get easy kills with it from well outside what it’s range should be, plus the super aim-assist makes it even easier.
I’m sure the DMR flinches when you get shot, even when you’re firing from the hip. Don’t know why it does that, it makes a medium to long range weapon, very bad at long ranges.
Reduce the time before the power weapon spawning gets announced. Possibly take it from 30secs down to 10 or 15.
Kill cams never EVER show exactly what happened, so why have them?
Pretty sure the hitboxes are massive. Either that or it’s like i said above, the kill-cams are pointless. Which they always are, in every single game i can’t think of.
I’ve always hated the sword since they added sprinting into halo. But now they can sprint and thrust to get closer, quicker.
I’ll probably update this as i play more.

The SMG seemed fine to me, not a lot of people used them. And the grenades also seemed fine, given that we had only two of each unlike Halo 2 Anniversary.
And I like the fact the weapons are announced 30 seconds before, as it creates interesting map-control battles.

I don’t see how that is a good thing. No point challenging another player when you have half shields. Live to fight another day.

SMG was fine. I think would may be off putting for you is the fact that all the guns kill faster this time around. However, the SMG still has the lowest damage of them all
Also, please do not touch the AR! First halo to actually give me a reason to use it competitively. Stands a chance

I just felt that the SMG damage was a bit high considering it’s rate of fire… I would like to see the grenades effective range lowered, the damage is fine but lower the effective range…

i honestly didnt notice any aim assist at all when sniping tbh, i thought it felt fine
