The Campaign was very exciting to get into at first and while the gameplay is great, the story felt like some weird fan fiction to me. Cortana being brought back to life and becoming evil only 1 game after her sad death was not a good move, in my opinion. The story should have focused more on the Master Chief’s internal struggle and his conflict with Locke. The ratio of Blue Team mission to Fireteam Osiris missions is also a bit disappointing especially when we were told that the Master Chief is still the main character. We play as Locke for about 80% of the time and as cool as he is, he lacks any real depth. He just wants to finish his mission, just like Master Chief. So why not just play as Chief?
The Multiplayer on the other hand is extremely well done and met my expectations. Warzone is a blast and Arena is really addicting once you start getting used to all the different mechanics and guns in the game. The REQ system is fantastic and I’ll probably never get all the armor sets because there’s so much. BTB on it’s way is also good. The only complaint I have about multiplayer is the lack of playlists and the fact that Warzone is supposed to have 6 maps when we only have 3 right now.
Also can’t wait for Forge.
