Overall I have enjoyed the beta. I think halo 5 will be a good game and fun.
Things I like:
maps have been fun
i prefer and enjoy the AR+pistol starts as it makes the other weapons on the map important and the BR actually feels powerful since everyone else doesn’t have one. Also you want to control certain areas with weapons on the map. Hope for the most part it’s gonna be AR+pistol starts.
I Like the arena aspect is back. While they kept the level up stuff but just for armor and visual things I’m fine with that.
Fun in to play with friends.
New game modes were fun and competitive. Breakout was a fun idea, I enjoy those game types every once in a while. Strongholds was good too makes a fun twist to 3 plots. Lookout forward to see what else they add and put in the final game.
Im in the middle for the rank system. If they matchmake it correctly it’s fine as you get put close to ppl your skill, but the placement doesn’t make sense to me. Though I do miss the 1-50 rank as well. Hopefully it turns out good.
Things I’d like to see changed/adjusted:
grenades - they seem so OP in this one and inconsistant. A grenade thrown and it bounces once and explodes or for some reason turns into a bouncy ball that bounces 5 times then explodes. My recommendation would be reduce damage or have no one spawn with grenades and only can get them through map locations then keep them the same and that would cause less spam.
Ground pound - seems so pointless.
Shoulder charge - I don’t really like this though my guess it’s there due to sprint, but regardless I don’t care for the charge and just want to melee.
The BR - I don’t know its the beta or what but the BR seems so freaking inconsistent in this. In other halos the BR makes you feel powerful, in halo5 it’s a crapshoot. Sometimes you can for shot sometimes youll put a full clip into a person and they live to 4 shot you with a kill cam of them shooting your big toe. I hope they fine tune it so it’s consistent and then I’ll be happy with it.
Those are my biggest gripes of the beta, and as I said overall though I found it fun and enjoyable to be doing a 4v4 halo again. Looking forward to it.
