I really liked the some of the changes they made but others are a big issue.
Weapons:
The commando’s recoil from the previous flight has been fixed and now the gun feels like an actual option to use and honestly, I really like it.
The skewer feels like it has decreased projectile speed, maybe its just because we were able to see its range thanks to the larger map but it feels a little slow and the bullet drop just felt off.
The shock rifle is an interesting gun, 2 to the head 3 to the body, feels like a support weapon or a lower class sniper rifle, gonna need to see how it preforms in big team to get a better opinion on it.
Dynamo grenades are great for fighting against people who like to squad up or for flushing someone out of cover. A very welcome addition.
Gear:
The repulser is probably my favorite thing overall, has a million and one uses feels like I have to choose between children when I have a grapple and I come across a repulser.
HUD:
I’m glad that walking now shows on radar. However, it takes almost 2 full seconds to disappear off radar while crouching and 18m is a nightmare half the time someone is already behind you and its too late.
The option to remove the white “dash” lines is greatly appreciated.
Training:
I love the idea of being able to fight bots to hone your skills. its great that they don’t grenade spam anymore but now the problem is whenever you fight them they’ll put everything down the second they spot the player. they won’t shoot other bots they’ll focus on you. Furthermore, if you even look at them from any distance they’ll immediately turn to look at you and start firing the second they get into range. For example, I’ll be hiding in a tower with a sniper getting the shot lined up when the bot will just snap onto me and with a pistol, laser me from 80+ meters away. Gives me serious halo 2 legendary flash backs when they pick up a sniper.
Not everything is perfect but still a very enjoyable experience. Would much rather play this than halo 5 any day.
