The changes I’m proposing probably won’t make their way into halo 5, but it would be great to see them in future games
Also, I’m only talking about ranked gamemodes, I have no idea how we’re matched in casual ones, even if I think we have some kind of hidden rank in them too
Feel free to agree and disagree about my opinion, and tell me why I’m wrong
First, I don’t really mind if it’s 1-50 or bronse1-onyx in the end, it’s just the wayu of showing it
But I think the ranking system should be less about win/lose of games, and more about how you do in these games
You lost a slayer match, but you had 30 kills and 10 deaths? Why should you go down?
I think the ranking should depend on personnal stats (win or lose impacting in all of them, but have a lesser impact than what we have right now)
Slayer should be about KDA
Team arena a mix between KDA and gamemode-related medals
swat, KDA all the way
free for all, position, but also KDA
Double, KDA (it’s slayer with less players anyway)
Why KDA instead of K/D ratio? Because it can happen that you have games with 4 kills but 16 assists, and it would not be as penalising with KDA
(for those who don’t know, KDA is Kills - Deaths + (assists / 3) assist/3 being rounded down
