My theory on the Covenant

I was just thinking, Master Chief and Cortana don’t know the war is over. Maybe the covenant isn’t actually hostile Chief just doesn’t know the war is over. I’m probably wrong but it’s an interesting concept.

Considering Cortana and Chief may as well have ended the war, and Chief is attacked by an Elite before he even knows who is on the ship, this isn’t likely. If these two factors didn’t stand in the way then it would be a very possible theory.

He knows its over. Game Informer covered this. He was surprised an elite attacked him when he wakes up.

I don’t know, but all i know its that we will have another long war to battle, for realz

Well, the standard human survival instinct says “shoot it”, modern society has added “if it looks ugly and/or alien, or worse not human, shoot it many times”. Chief has evolved this to perfection, even added “give them back their bomb/commit small scale genocide”.
If we think about it, the first think you do in an FPS is generally shoot something or someone, what if Chief hadn’t started shooting but put down his gun, wavered a white flag and said “Hi, I come in peace. Bring me to your leader”.
Now that would be a twist :wink:
