When you see the legendary ending with the halo ring in the cutscene, it made me question myself and for the next halo fps to possibly make a return for the flood and that it would be such a shocking revelation to witness and would make halo good again if the flood was brought back along with the covenant and prometheans and if they had some flood/promethean enemies in the game, that would be awesome. Anyways, i just wanted to share my theory on what the next halo fps will have for us and that’s all i have to say for now.
I’ve been telling people constantly flood will be in Halo 6, I really hope it does end up in the story though, at this point anything is possible

I really hope so. I also believe we’ll see the Banished/Brutes, since Halo Wars 2 happens right after Halo 5, it would make sense to have the Banished appear in Halo 6. There’s so many awesome lore things set up that I think Halo 6 COULD BE the best and most epic Halo game yet. Don’t fail us, 343!
I swear, the flood had better be in halo 6. It would be blasphemy for humanity to reclaim the mantle without having to fight the flood on an epic scale.

Halo 6 legendary ending I’d say is the most probably place in the game we’ll find story related flood.
The story is now about the Cortana and how to bring her down. If that story arc is ended in Halo 6, then it’s ended there and the next arc will be hinted at in the legendary ending. That’s how I see it.
