My Team Sniper Rank

I don’t know how many people have had this problem in other playlist’s. But once I went from 42 to 43 I haven’t ranked up since. In 40 matches (I think this many)I’ve won 90% of my matches. While at one point I think being close to a 20 game win streak. Also note. About 85% of those matches I was within the top 3 players in the lobby with the most points. At one point I played 4or5 matches back to back having close to 500 score up to 600 and never ranked up once. I haven’t even de-ranked once since I’ve gotten to 43. While I’m playing with a full party majority of the time 3-4 players. They continually rank up, while I’m plateaued at 43.

I have that problem too which is why i stopped playing Halo again. I was playing swat got to a 35. and didnt go up from there almost always top 3 on my team winning maybe 8/10 games every time but instead i ranked down. So i quit Halo again! LONG LIVE HALO 3!

I played H3 for the most part. But I’m not going to go back.

Im not going back either the game is broken now but just saying halo 4 will never fill in those shoes unless they fix everything

I looked at your last 20 games…the answer is simple. You are not beating players that are ranked higher than your CSR.

343i in a recent interview…which is located in another thread on this forum, said that are aware of this problem and are trying to work out a way t allow lower ranked players to have more games against higher ranked players so one can have a chance of beating higher ranked players and thus improve their CSR.

I have a similar problem as yours.

I’ve had maybe 2 bad games tonight out of like 10 matches. The rest of the time I’m at the top of lobby score board while winning. That’s all that counts towards ranking up, I think. Never heard anything about having to beat anyone of the same level.
Also Individual scoring playlist’s 90% of the time never match players of the same level. I’ve only matched players of my level mainly in Throwdown and I enjoy it.

Actually, 343i have stated that in the individual lists, it is based on score, whether or not you place first, whether or not you place in the top 4 of 8 players or 8 of sixteen players etc, whether or not you beat people with higher CSR, same CSR or lowers CSR…there are a number of factors involved! It is not just purely score.

Examples:

You might place first and thus have the highest score. Your CSR is 43, for example, and the other 7 players you beat are all much lowers CSRs; you will not rank up or down.

You might have the highest score and thus place first. Your CSR is 43 and you beat one or more players with a higher CSR than yours. You would rank up.

You might have third or fourth highest score in a game. If the two or three that beat you had lower CSRs than you, they would rank up AND you would rank down.

That in a nutshell, is how the individual score CSR lists work.

So. In over 40 games I haven’t matches anyone over a 43?

Half of the explanations here make no sense.

There would clearly have to be a way to rank up from CSR lower than you or you would be stuck there. If you were the highest player at 43 then, by the rules stated above, you would never be able to rank up.

I only looked at your last twenty game! Surely you can look at the last 40 games and work it out. But, IMO,if you had one game where you did beat someone higher, if you went on to say have as your next game one where you did not place highest but second or third, and was beaten by a lower CSR, that would have negated any gain you might have gotten earlier for beating the higher ranked player. Again, that is just my guess without having looked at your actual last 40 games.

Having said that, Bravo, twitter handle #BarvoMLG, has stated that he will answer specific queries about CSR. Give him a try and he does reply! It might take a little while as many ask questions!

And that is true! I’m stuck after about fifty games at the same CSR in BTIS!

343i have stated in a recent (11 April) radio interview, that they are aware of this problem and they are trying to work out a fair system which would more often put lower ranked CSRs up against higher CSRs so that the lower players have a chance of beating the higher CSRs and thus have a chance to rank up!

There’s only a few playlist’s I even play. Double’s, Throwdown, Snipers and sometimes CTF and Rumble. Mainly play snipers when I don’t feel like playing Throwdown.
