If i quite out to often will my CSR reset?
Nope - Team CSR is resetting every two weeks, and is now team-based, not individual.

It’s every 2 months. Not every 2 weeks.
Cool, thanks.

I didn’t know that.
Could somebody explain me what’s the interest of a periodic reset? I can’t figure out.

I don’t remember seeing any kind of specific explanation from 343i as to why they have decided to run this leaderboard with rank resets every two months. I only remember reading that they were go to see how it went, and would like feedback about it.
A good place for that feedback is here, CSR Feedback
I have read some speculation that they use it to keep the playlist relevant, and to keep people playing. I am interested to see if some of the same players make it to the top. I think it is more interesting to see the leaderboards with periodic resets rather than just the same names week in week out.
I think, just like with other things in this game, they are trying things out to see how it goes. It helps to keep playing and give feedback for the decisions they make for the next Halo.
Ok, thanks, I see your point.
I just wonder how relevant can be a team-based CSR calculated on a small period (at least, I guess that less than 2 months is small). I remember reading that it takes a long time to converge.

There’s what’s known as a “constant” variable within their CSR formula that they can tweak. This variable essentially (relatively) adjusts how fast you can rank up in the playlist. Individual CSR uses a value that allows massive jumps, and Team CSR makes rank-ups far and fewer between. Team Slayer, however, has been stated to use a different value close to Team CSR but allows for quicker progression. I’m saying somewhere in the ballpark of 7/10th between Individual and Team but leaning more towards Team. (Lay Individual and Team out in a line and Team Slayer’s value is probably around 70% mark of the line on Team’s side).
That last part is just my guess though.

The Team Slayer two-month “seasons” are a part of the Team Slayer Top 200 program.
Alright, thank you all for the details and the links : ).
As others have posted, season 1 of the Team Slayer Top 200 just ended this Monday, and season 2 is now underway. We’ll be posting the final Top 200 for season 1 on Waypoint tomorrow, January 22nd.
