My Take on the Halo 4 Ranking System

We all know that Halo 4 has a progressive ranking system, however, this does not exclude my ideas for Halo 4’s ranking system

My Proposal:
We combine Halo Reach’s system (a progressive system) with Halo 3’s system of 1-50

Each system will have a different role:

Reach’s System:
This system is the one we already know about. However Spartan points will ONLY be used for buying Weapons, Armor, and Armor Abilities. There will be NO level specific purchases i.e. Must be level 50 to buy this weapon. This will have NO correlation to Rank, it will be used for purchases and Armor ONLY.

Halo 3’s system:
This will be the system that governs rank with the 1-50 we know and love. It will also have the playlist ranking that we are all familiar with. This will be tweaked a bit so that it wont have the feeling of you being stuck in one Rank. It will be possible to lose rank if you do poorly for alot of matches. This will also have a “Prestige” once you get to 50 (this will take care of derankers from Halo 3).

I was actually thinking of something like this as well. It wouldn’t be too hard to pull off both

Thats fine as you get Credits and exp. By winning and doing well, rather than doing nothing in a game of Firefight and getting 2000cR

I somewhat agreed with it until you said prestige. It wouldn’t make sense to prestige in a ranking system that is based off of skill.

I do agree that you could have the ranking system as well as the credit system where the credits only applies to customization.

Well that was the only thing i could think of that incorporates 1-50 and solves the deranker problem from halo 3

Yeah I know. It would solve the deranking problem but it sort of takes away from the initial idea of 1-50.

I’d like 1-50 to be back to but they’d have to change several things for sure.

But yeah I don’t really have any ideas that would solve the deranking problem myself.
