We learned today that an FFA playlist is coming to Halo 4 next week along with the new maps (looking great). Here are my suggestions on making this playlist the best it can possibly be:
GAMETYPES (these maps aren’t for the Majestic only playlist but for the main FFA playlist we’ll get afterwards)
Infinity Rumble
Rumble Pro
-Uses all of the v2 settings except that there’s a radar showing enemies.
Rumble KOTH
Rumble Oddball
Regicide
-King’s bounty is reset to 15 every time he dies
ORDNANCE
I think that Map Ordnance should be set on resupply timers (for example, Scattershot on Haven respawns every 2 minutes). You should also remove Random Ordnance. As for Personal Ordnance, you should either remove it (preferred suggestion) or not give power weapons (we should choose between Automatic loadout weapons,Precision Weapons,Grenades and Power-Ups).
INSTANT RESPAWN
Every gametype should have a 5 second respawn timer.
VICTORIES
All players in the Top 3 (4 if there’s 8 people) should receive a win while the Bottom 3 receive a loss.

They should also have Solace, considering it’s in the Team Infinity Slayer playlist. I disagree about Ordnance and Instant Respawn. What’s the point of Ordnance with loadout weapons instead of power weapons? Why the heck would I earn something I can spawn with? Either put power weapons in personal ordnance, or none at all. And random ordnance is in Team Infinity Slayer, so why not in FFA Infinity Slayer, that’s just weird, same with instant spawning. The lack of instant spawning and random and/or personal ordnance works for Rumble Pro, though, since “Pro” is meant to be somewhat similar to older Halo gameplay.
Love the idea by the way, this is the kind of free-for-all I’d like to see where you get to vote for map/gametype, but why would the top 4 get a victory? It’s a free-for-all and 2nd place is as big a loser as 6th or 8th place.

Because the guys in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place beat more players than they lost to. It’s a simple system, and it bugs the hell out of me that Regicide changed it. Changed my win % from Reach’s Rumble (95%) to H4s Regicide (55%), and that latter ratio would be higher were it not for the King’s disadvantages.
For the love of god and all that is holy PLEASE KEEP PERSONAL ORDNANCE OUT OF FFA!!!
It’s bad enough that some maps have snipers or incinerators at the very start, introducing personal ordnance in games that have 6 players will ruin the playlist.
As far as victories go I think you should only get a victory if you come in first place. If you come in second it should count as a loss. We should get rid off all this consolation garbage, if you’re not the best player in the game and you come second you get a loss, you don’t like that? Then get first place next time.
I also think high power random ordnance like the binary rifle or incinerator should not appear in FFA gametypes. Shotgun, Scattershot, Sticky Detonator, Needler, weapons like these are fine.

343 said in the Majestic announcement that Infinity Rumble will be exclusive to Majestic for a limited time. Also, Certain Affinity have announced a Forge Contest focused on FFA Gametypes.
