My Suggestions for Halo 6

I have a few suggestions for Halo 6, I hope you read this and take them on board. I’ve been playing since Halo 1 on the original X Box. My favourite Halo was Halo 3; and I think Halo 5 was a return to the spirit of what made Halo so great, after a dip in form for Reach and moreso for Halo 4.

In no particular order:

  1. Make the gravity hammer more like Halo 3.

In Halo 3, this was one of the coolest, most majestic weapons. It was great because it wasn’t a lunge melee weapon. You just pulled the trigger near the opponent and damage could be inflicted by them just being near. It felt right. It would make objects fly away in the shockwave which made it even more feared. The Halo 3 hammer was weighty, meaty and satisfying … bolstered by a wicked sound effect. In Halo 5 it feels less fun because it’s dependent on locking on to the opponent, which is proved by the fact that you lunge when you use it. It means you need to get closer to the opponent for it to be effective. It makes opponents respect it less. The sound effect is also a bit weak, imo. I want the majestic spirit of the Halo 3 hammer to be reinstated.

  1. Make a ranked Warzone, to supplement the other warzone modes. Halo is ultra competitive, and I think it can’t hurt to add a ranked mode here, as its fanbase lives for this. If it’s super popular it tells you what the fans want, and it would become a staple. Just do away with boss spawns and make it PVP for this special Warzone mode. I can’t see how this can go wrong.

  2. Bring back equipment. The bubble shield was iconic, added strategy to the game and worked so well. I can’t understand why this was ever removed for Reach, along with the drainer, and so on.

  3. Add a medal for a noscope headshot with the sniper, because we want to be rewarded for this awesome move. And add one for long range no scopes.

  4. I really would like Halo 3 map design and sound effects to be used as a benchmark for this game, with the aim to surpass them. The maps in 5 are good, but none are as memorable or iconic as Guardians, Narrows, Construct, and so on. Most people can’t even remember their names. I know this is almost an impossible task, but I think your focus should be here, as the gameplay mechanics in Halo 5 are already very good and don’t need drastic improvement.

  5. I think dual wield should be brought back. Why not? We now have paddles, it would be a good way to sell more elite controllers, it adds more variation to the sandbox, and Halo 3 was arguably the best in the series along with Halo 2.

  6. I think there should be a “no spartan abilities mode” and a set of modular maps that change size and scope for this game type to go with it; maps that shrink and alter slightly when abilities like run are removed. Since the narrative now for the multiplayer is it’s a simulation for spartan training, this makes sense. In boxing, they do alternative training to supplement the classic training, punching thrown boxing cards and hitting foreign objects for example. Why shouldn’t Spartans also mix up their training to be the best that they can be? It would be like doing running training wearing a heavy backpack or at high altitude to condition yourself.

  7. I think the armor design was a little underwhelming. Most of the designs are a bit “meh” and not memorable. I would like to see more unique armor even at the expense of quantity. I think too many dilutes the power of the original classic designs. Basically: quality not quantity.

  8. I would like to see armour parts getting broken and blown off as the game progresses, making it harder to go on kill streaks as the Spartan’s soft body gets gradually exposed and gets more vulnerable. This would happen when shots are taken when the shield is down. This would be great for pro players to try to target parts of the spartan that are exposed where the shield wouldn’t work anymore; this would force different tactics from power players attempting to conceal one side or part of the character.

  9. Throwing weapons. I would like to be able to throw weapons. This would be very tactical – could throw weapons to team mates across the map, could throw power weapons off the map, could even throw a weapon at an enemy if the clip is exhausted. Spartans have super strength and I think they would do this on the battlefield.

  10. Return of Flood and Brutes. Make Brutes playable in multiplayer along with Elites.

Some good ideas that makes sense. I dunno about throwing weapons, but only because I’ve never seen a game have an ability like that.

I think if your clip is empty throwing a weapon at the enemy is a high risk high reward move that leaves you more exposed but if you hit them it would kill them if they were one shot.

There’s a halo 6 wish list bud. But good ideas now I don’t agree with all of them but that’s just me
