I have been thinking on what I’d like to do in Spartan Ops and here’s what I can think of (just as a gameplay overview rather than storywriting):
Chapter 1: Infinity is under attack from multiple covenant cruisers and the hangars are being boarded. Crimson must fight their way to the hangars Halo 2 style and fly a broadsword.
Chapter 2: Crimson takes off and flies towards a cruiser and destroys the cruisers fighters surrounding it and destroy its engines.
Chapter 3: Crimson is directed to board the cruiser and destroy it from the inside. Crimson then flies back to the Infinity.
Between Chapter 3 and 4: You hear dialogue between Palmer and Lasky and Roland
Roland: Lasky they’re retreating!
Lasky: What? Those split-chins never retreat. Roland, scan for any other ships.
Roland: Hmm
Lasky: What is it?
Roland: There is a covenant cruiser still in operation but there are no life forms on it.
Lasky: How is that poss…(Interrupted by Roland)
Roland: Sir! I’m getting numerous life signatures from that same ship!
(Palmer walks into the bridge)
Palmer: Sir we’ve lost contact with the crew on the lower deck.
Lasky: send some marines to check it out.
Palmer: We already did.
Lasky: Send the spartans.
Chapter 4: Crimson starts on an elevator moving down an elevator to the lower decks. Palmer is on the comms giving a briefing. The spartans arrive at the bottom and the lights flicker off. Crimson’s lights pop on and they move to a waypoint where a suicidal marine is yelling unintelligibly until shooting himself. Crimson is then directed to another waypoint and a flood elite jumps on the leading spartan and is dispatched like the elite at the top of the elevator in the first campaign mission. Crimson then is directed to look for survivors.
Chapter 5: Crimson is unsuccessful in finding survivors so Palmer gives her usual briefing “Kill everything that moves”.
