My Spartan is way overweight!

Why is there even a “sprint” option if there is little to no effect. The Devs definitely need to kick the sprint up a few notches and tone down the god awful screen shake while my fat Spartan sprints. Im
hoping by launch the Spartans get on a diet and run like real athletes rather than a fat slob that just got done downing a McDouble with large fry.

Sprint being deliberately slow is a balancing tool. They don’t want it to be too fast because they don’t want people to run away from gunfights and be able to recharge their shields. At least that is my assumption since the sprint mechanic from Halo 5 isn’t making a return, Where you can sprint forever but your shields never recharge while sprinting, only when you walk. Halo Infinite doesn’t have this mechanic so it makes sense to not have the speed be outrageous.

As far as the Screen shake goes, I believe you can turn it off in the settings of the game, eliminating that frustration entirely

no. Sprint is not a traversal tool in infinite. Its an initiation tool. Its about 9% faster then base speed (which is enough) and allows you to use slide which can be pared with various locations in the map to propell yourself. They nailed the speed for both base and sprint in that the maps dont take much of a hit when it comes to their overall design to accommodate for it and it still provides access to movement tools.

Haha I think that the sprint feature is currently buggy as it seems like you’re running on a rumble strip. I’m confident that sprinting will be improved once we reach launch.

boi check the settings

If speint has to stay in halo this is a good balance
I finally feel like I’m playing halo again
