My rules for Vehiclular Combat

Here are some suggested rules for vehicular combat

Rule 1: Always keep moving, don’t stop, you’ll be an easy target if you do

Rule 2: keep your eyes peeled, if your in a Falcon epecialy, you’ll never know if theres a rocket heading for you!

Rule 3: In a gunner seat, always target the thing that is at the most danger to your vehicle

Rule 4: In ground vehicles such as the warthog or ghost, make sure that the opponet dosen’t have armor lock if you attempt to splatter them

Rule 5: If you are the driver of a warthog, avoid getting splatters, as you can get Armor lock smashed, and your gunner will be gone as well as you

Rule 6: a good sugestion for the warthog’s LAAG (the minigun) to target ground troops, and not vehicles

Rule 7: its easier to have one gunner in a falcon rather than two, as you can focus on one specific target

Rule 8: Don’t banshee W*hore, its just not cool

Rule 9: with wraiths, make sure you have a gunner before you go out into the middle of the battlefeild, as its muc h harder to get boarded, this applies with scorpions as well

Rule 10: Ghosts guns are actualy very effective, USE THEM

Rule 11: Use tanks as combat support behind your lines, so its harder for them to get hijacked

Rule 12: Use Stun nades and Overcharged plasma pistols to disable vehicles, don’t underestimate their power!

Rule 13: When trying to hijack tanks, try to get as close to them as posible befor running towards them

Rule 14: Jet-Pack ambushes in attempt to hijack veicles are strongly disadvised

Rule 15: Use Armor lock effichently, if your trying to smash the vehicle and the stop in front of you, you have better chances of surviving if you un-lock and run rather than sitting there in Armor lock

Rule 16: In warthogs, Don’t go too fast or too slow, too fast and you gunner can’t get a kill, to slow and your an easy target

Rule 17: don’t use warthogs without gunners, there are mongooses for a reason

Like my sugestions?

hey i know this is a slow fourum but come on!

meh. I didn’t ever really think there are “specific rules” to follow when dealing with vehicles. I think it’s more like there are specific ways to deal with vehicles that are effective, but it’s kinda up to the player to decide how to implement those tactics based on the circumstance. plus there is a learning curve on how to operate the vehicles and certain tactics to avoid getting hit by missles locked on to you, or plasma cannon rounds etc.

I don’t disagree with your list though, it’s got solid “tips” but I don’t think there is specifically a “list” that sums up vehicle combat. you could write paragraphs on each tactic and all their circumstances and how to best react, and still leave some stuff out. good try, though I don’t think I’d remember these in a combat situation as much as hands on experience.

I’d say another good one is “Be careful when approaching an EMP’d vehicle. The gun still works.” I have watched scores of teammates get murdered approaching a downed Revenant.

they’re just suggestions not “rules”
i see your point, its up to the player to decide how to use a vehicle wisely

i agree with all of them. Especially rule 8
