Alright so I have played Halo: Reach’s campaign at least 4 - 5 times and I can safely say that it is the worst Halo campaign. The reasons being are simple, the music is terrible because Marty did a bad job, and I know not many of you will agree but I think if the singing monk aren’t in then its horrable. Other reasons are like how the inviroment is not well detailed, the characters are a little unaware of things in battle or (dumb AIs). The fact that all of the characters die is a little dissapointing since my favorite character (Kat) died. Also there wasn’t enough action, there wasn’t much dialogue from noble six, and the missions were bad. Well that’s just my opinion folks…
Im actually finally playing the campaign for the first time, behind the times Im afraid. But I have to agree, the story just doesnt grab me as Halo 3 did. I havent nit=picked why yet, but I can agreee the Reach “doesnt feel like Halo.”

I now strongly believe that you might be one of the dumbest humans to ever walk the face of this planet!
My jaw just dropped due to the lack of knowledge on video games. Damn, either people are getting younger and more stupid or I am just getting to old.

How is he stupid? I thought Reach’s campaign was the worst Halo Campaign ever. I may not agree with all that he said, but I agree that the campaign was a mish-mash of bad characters and weak plot points.

I am glad beyond words that they didn’t use the singing monks. That was fine in halo 1, but then once the sequel rolled around, and then the third game, I was sick of it, quite frankly. The Reach soundtrack was a nice change of pace.
it could have been better, more emotional i guess… many of the missions didn’t seem to link together well (I think that like half of them had timeskips in between them), and half the time i had little idea what the hell i was supposed to do…
Exodus was the best level in my opinion. I felt like I was actually DOING something, helping these pilots, soldiers, and ODSTs in their last stand against the covenant, and I legitimately felt bad when the cruiser destroyed that evacuation ship, something the deaths of kat, jorge, and emile just didn’t do.
Lone wolf was fantastic as well… “objective: survive” and the sad piano theme in the beginning were awesome. If only the music carried out through when you were fighting!
It pains me to agree with the OP on the music… I think the lack of guitar didn’t pump me up the way Assault on the Control room did.
And the title screen music made me feel like I was in a Turkish palace watching belly dancers, when the truth is, I’m in the living room getting set to slay.
Coming back to this thread, I agree that the music wasn’t up to par with other halo games, but for a different reason than it being “horrable”. It wasn’t bad, it just felt very… unmemorable. The halo trilogy had a very well known set of choir and the epic DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNN, ODST had its saxophone and piano, but reach had… a two second guitar riff noise. that repeats. endlessly. Heck i can’t even remember how half the songs from reach go and i’ve played the campaign loads of times, yet i remember most of the ODST soundtrack songs (“finale” was awesome) though i played through its campaign only once. I don’t feel like it was marty’s best, and i feel kind of bad about not appreciating the work that went into it.
there should be a dlc map pack with extra missions that are good e.g a mossion between exodus and new alexandria where you have to get to another LZ because more covenant show up and you get to fight a scarab
