Graphics - The graphics are really good, and sometimes I find myself just looking at the scenery while playing a multiplayer game. I really love the sound effects and they
sound like something out of a IMAX sci fi movie. This is something the game does really well.
Connection - flawless. The first halo game where i am matched with european hosts on dedicated servers. Amazing. 10/10. Finally, i get to die because i made a mistake and it wasn’t because of connection which has haunted anyone outside of america for the past 12 years.
Game modes: Really well done on the game modes. They are actually quite fun to play and always keeps you on your toes. The custom game browser just adds to this and you have a unlimited amount of game modes which can be created and experimented with.
Gameplay: The game is very noob friendly, even more so than halo 4. Why do I say this? Well, the only tricky thing about this game is the aiming at times and map movement, but once you got this down, there won’t be much to settle good teams. I was mainly surprised at how fast the game was. Now, do not get me wrong - a arena shooter is meant to be quick but when you spawn and find yourself in a gun battle 3 seconds after spawning, because the other team is spawn killing, this kind of put my suspitions up.
What Halo 5 does really well is increasing the dynamics. I really love the fact the abilities are subtle. It adds dynamics to the game which increases the skill gaps in map movement and operating your spartan suit. What would be really good for halo 6 is have the ability to customise your spartan suit operations. For instance, you can literally create your own armor abilities. This would be easy as it could be like a wwe system of creating a finisher, you add segments and it becomes a new ability. For instance…the ability to run on the ceiling upside down for a short period of time.
One more thing - player movement is too fast. For instance, its difficult to see a player coming up towards you when their dot is quick - which pretty much renders the rader useless. I take it that the aim was to nurf the rader but for those players who have worse hand-eye coordination skills it puts them at a disadvantage over those who do - personally I like the fact that the rader was nurfed - a few players online were commenting on it and I had to agree with them. For instance, my cousin who has dyslexia found the game play a bit too fast for him.
Granades - Way too over powered. I found just lobbing a granade in someones direction usually hit them 80% of the time. It wasn’t this way in Halo 4 or Halo 3. Granades do not take much precision anymore and I know newer players love this because it makes them feel good as a player.
Last thing about the easyness of the game - the game shouldn’t tell you when weapons are spawning on the map, and i dont like that the computer tells you where everyone is. Like I said before, very noob friendly.
All in all I would keep playing this game on game pass, but i wouldn’t buy it.
