My review after the 1st day of beta

So for those of you who are not in the preview program. This is what to expect from the beta. On my first match the controls oddly felt home to me and I went 24-10 in a win. But I did notice most of the other team was playing the classic way and not making use of their SA. This gave me a slight advantage in most of the matches I played, the thruster is a key element to flanking your enemy. Or creating some space if they got the drop on you with an AR/SMG. Or buying a little time in close percision combat by throwing their aim off a bit. The sprint is unlimited now but your health and shields don’t recharge while using it. But with the Prophets Bane held I felt more faster than other players. But I did play the classic way for a time and while doing that I didn’t feel that I needed to use the SA in order to get kills and compete. It’s a bit harder without using them if you’re not a boss but the SA are not mandatory for those who perfer the classic way. So I hope thats good news for some of you. Also sometimes you need to make full use of your SA. I’ve noticed a lot of players don’t make use of Ground Pound. It can make a big difference when a match is down to the wire. As it did for me when I got a double kill with it and winning the match 50-48. And the kill cam is a bit useful it lets you know how close or how far you was. When your enemy kills you by showing how much health/shields they had left. All in all I like what 343 has done so far with the Halo 5 beta and I hope the rest of you give it a try on the 29th.

Thnx for that, you’ve gotten me excited now.

Sorry for the late reply. But to answer your question, yes you can change the control scheme. The bumper jumper, southpaw, fishstick, green thumb, recon, boxer, and Halo 4 schemes are there.
