Where is the actual fixing of the issues?
I get that itâs a âfree to playâ game, but I have paid for it. I have paid for the campaign, as well as $100 of the points before you lowered the price for points. I paid for a few of the skins, and additions from that $100, before you dropped the price of the items. I have not received ANY sort of reimbursement, or extras for the higher prices, and havenât asked.
There are plenty of problems here.
Desync is absolutely ridiculous. You can literally see the desync during the tournaments. On a LAN connection. You can even see that a lot of the time, they somehow have issues starting a game with 1 person who didnât get in, or constant issues with disconnection. ON A LAN CONNECTION. What the french toast is that?
Had to remove this one due to it being against T.O.S., but is available on my post/response on steam because it doesnât there.
We donât have the ability to report cheaters in game.
We donât have an EASY ability to invite others to our party, or to play a game with new people. Do you not want this community to be interactive with each other?
We donât have STAPLES of the previous games in terms of playlists, or ranked playlists. Where are duos/doubles? Where is SLAYER? Where is snipers/shotties? Where is the objective type only? What about the infamous head to head? Infection?
Where are the career stats? Progression? Medal chest? Why do I have to use an entirely different website to find this information?
Why are the original set of emblems, and nameplates missing? Why are you SO hell bent on trying to sell us literally EVERYTHING?
And lastly, but FAR more important to meâŚ
We donât have any sort of communication, this includes proximity chat, or an actual lobby.
You doing this, has removed all sense of community from the game. Why is 343i so scared to actually respond to those who are trying to talk about the game, let alone allow them to communicate?
Why do you continuously blame the community for your ability to deal with life & work? You realize you had SIX full years to get this done, and you still somehow managed to make it solely based on trying to take money out of our pockets, for things we should have with the game initially. You charged us the cost of the game for ONLY campaign. So we should have the opportunity to complain about what you have blatantly âforgotâ, because it seems like you are trying to do it in a manner that allows you to say âoops, we will add it back⌠for some more of your cash.â
Charge us $100 for the entire game, and stop trying to put one over on your customer base. I get the $20 for the battle pass, but a single color is $6~? Seriously? Charge us for the game, this should include all of the colors, armors, etc. When you add NEW ones, and you think itâs worth charging us, let us buy the ENTIRE THING. Why do you think this is a viable source of income, to nickel and dime us? In that state of the world economy as a whole? You would be making far more than enough implementing what I just said.
I LOVE Halo, and have played for 20+ years, but 343i is starting to push me away from even wanting to play. If you want to lose a die hard, PAYING fan/customer, continue with what youâre doing and donât respond to these legitimate concerns.
Communication within the community is what made halo so great, lobbies, prox voices. Most of my adds were from people I started a rivalry with in the match with proximity voice or lobby. Now when I play multiplayer it has about the same payoff as playing against bots. No pregame hype, no excitement, just very basic and bland. Boring even.
343 havenât given me any indication that the game will improve overtime at a reasonable pace & so long-term investment feels pointless
iâm convinced at this point that development for the multiplayer of Infinite started months before launch because there truly is no excuse for most of the features missing from the game
Hyping up the return of Forge doesnât excite me, it frustrates me that it wasnât there at launch
& with the population rapidly dwindling people whoâve already left probably wonât return & they couldâve found consistent enjoyment with Forgeâs toolset & stayed.
This community has a problem separating venting rants from the criticism.
We got people whoâs entire identity on this forum is to belittle the devs working on the game. The ones with â343=incompetentâ in their bios.
After so many months on these forums, Iâm having trouble understanding half the stuff posted here helps the devs. Thatâs what weâre supposed to be doing. Helping them by giving pointers on whatâs wrong.
Are we supposed to be encouraging them to do better? How is calling them names going to get them to do better?
What Iâm trying to say is, keep it clean. Theyâll most definitely respond when they have something new to share.
I have kept it clean, and lots of people from this forum have taken upon themselves to report the posts. I had nothing but polls in one post, and it was hidden due to community flags. I have not name called any of the 343i employees, because I understand that is not the way to achieve change. So, I am fine with what Iâve posted, I stand behind everything I say, regardless of what it is.
Itâs almost like they should have some type of community manager in charge of monitoring feedback. Oh wait, they do, heâs just horrible at his job and overly sensitive.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. If they have a community manager that only accepts feedback thatâs hand delivered on a fluffy cloud with an extra serving of undeserved compliments, then they need to bring in someone less sensitive.
People are upset and 343 needs to learn from it, not demand how we deliver feedback.
Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more against the norm. In order to combat âharassmentâ, rather than letting people moderate themselves using the mute and block systems, more and more games are just reducing or removing the ability to communicate altogether. Youâd think a game where crouching and slamming your genitals into your opponentâs corpse is a common gesture wouldnât be so soft otherwise. If someone goes out of their way to harass you beyond the built-in moderation measures than that should be reported and banned, but donât remove nearly all communication preemptively.
I find it disorienting that @ske7ch , the community director, hasnât been seen or heard from in over a month. The only thing you can see him doing is retweeting marketing propaganda, but as far as an individual tweet or response to anyone⌠nothing.
No, they are not, and neither are the people buying the product. Yet, this is the model for their game. You know, weâll just throw money at the screenâŚ
Come onâŚchanges that werenât needed, that solved problems that didnât exist! No coop, no content. Enough is enough with this garbage. It needs to be criticized severely. The way this released is not ok and they need to know it!
Lets not be disgusting, but sometimes we need to vent, and whoever made these decisions for this game, needs this criticism.
Iâm not talking about the level of criticism. Iâm talking about the insults. Thatâs not criticism. Nor is it helping anyone.
I understand the need to vent. Trust me. Keeping anger bottled up inside is a common occurrence for me.
But I also understand that if all I do is rant about the same thing over and over again, I probably need to step away from whatever is causing me that level of anger.
I get it, but I think this stretches to gaming in general, and itâs becoming extremely tiring for everyone and Halo Infinite was the last straw, well for me anyway. Yeah, maybe everyone step away.
The state of release of this game is the biggest insult!
I think the blatant attempt at extorting everyone for the most simplistic of items is more disrespectful. The state of the game needs to be fixed, and they need to stop going radio silent about it. Communication is everything. They need to go back to halo basics, and bring back what made halo such a great series.
Hype is a fickle thing, I remember thinking back when MP Beta released I was all aboard the hype train and did the same exact thing; Preordered campaign and $100 worth of creds because this was the seasonal game for the boys.
Fast forward 4 months and the MP is the exact same but with more stuff to buy. Itâs very, very, very, VERY, very neat. Very neat. Yessir.
Love being a beta tester for cosmetic shop prices for a game whoâs developer and publisher refuse to do anything to save any amount of face in front of their consumers.
Imagine instead of making purchaseable tenrai gear, they just put it in the limited tenrai pass. Imagine if instead of making âselectâ reach armors available to purchase, they were just in the battle pass.
If the stuff was âfreeâ (yeah, I know, servers cost money and clearly 343 doesnât have any with what all those brand deals and such going on, I mean you expect them to survive on the scraps of rockstar, nail polish, doritos and nerf?) then weâd atleast have stuff to unlock and a âreasonâ to keep playing-
As of now, thereâs no cross chat comms, no lobbies, so youâre not playing for the community.
Infact, the only thing TO play for is the gameplay, and itâs the same 4-6 map rotation as it was when the beta launched. Which is fine in a game where you can communicate with other people and maybe meet some people and make new friends and competitive enemies- but unless you go out of your way to make those connections itâs not gonna happen.
I know Iâve seen people with the âgamers donât even play games anymore if they canât buy something inconsequential within it to look coolâ sentiment, but I donât see anything in this game presently that is worthwhile to do outside of queing for 3 matches with 1-3 friends and then go âwell. We got 1 map we hate and the same map twice. Wanna go play elden ring?â
Not to say if you enjoy it youâre in the wrong of course, itâs just so, oh so boring to me.
Honestly being free to play is not an excuse for a game being lackluster. Of itâs free to play and has monetization than it should be top quality.otherwose why spend money on the stpre of the product is sub par
