My recent experience.

Been playing some 3 LIVE. For old times sake. I don’t know if it was just me and I’m a outcast, but I doubt it because I have high speed Xfinity internet in a one bedroom apartment. So it was laggy half the matches, people were standing there idle, people quit, making it harder for me or my team, black screen happened alot, when it was playing smoothly, the more generally basic gameplay got, well boring after a few matches and I couldn’t even get assists for crying out loud. Halo 4 keeps me on my edge more and even more so now that it’s better balanced.

So, I support Halo 4 more as we stand, regardless of numbers.

Here’s my point to this thread, I am ANXIOUS for 5. I KNOW 343i will deliver, they know what’s up, what to do, the story is going to be EPIC, matchmaking is (in my theory) going to extremely surprise people and hopefully drastically raise the population. I want it to have no personal ordinance, keep loadouts but balance them better, have AA’s as map pickups and create well designed maps for all of this. Anybody else with me on this or am I pulling a Noble 6 here?

So excited for 5.

well, i can agree on the loadouts idea, and personal ordnance. I know that 343 will deliver especially if they hope to regain even half of the fanbase that they lost. But the question is: Will the community approve of anything new 343 puts in? Will 343 bother to re-implement what ‘makes Halo great’ or will the fans remain ignorant and continue to only demand a Halo 3.5?
On the subject of re implementing, many fans have expressed their wants for halo 5 multiplayer, but one pointed out that 343 don’t take the forums to seriously, because they consider it unreliable. Thats a bit of a concern for me, and it makes me wonder how much feedback their actually taking in…

The moment-to-moment gameplay in Halo 4 was never the issue. The issue was the gametypes. The issue was flawed custom Loadouts. The issue was the lack of competitive ranking and the super-quick progression ranking. The issue was that half of the main gametypes that appeared in Reach were stripped away (Assault, Invasion, Stockpile, Juggernaught, Headhunter, Territories and Race) and that’s even not counting the complete removal of asymmetric gametypes and reducing Infection to a non-Forge-friendly gametype (with a lack of customization options). The problem is that 343i cast away traditional Halo laws (equal starts for instance) instead of evolving them and didn’t even have ONE PLAYLIST for it until 7 months later.

By the time 343i “fixed” Halo 4, everyone was gone. Next time, we need a complete game. That’s all there is to it.
