My reasons for choosing an Xbox One.

During the Sony Press Conference e3 2013 I saw Sony’s PS4 fans and during that conference I realized something very important. It appears to be that Ps4 fanboys have no respect what so ever, are immature, arrogant, cocky, hypocrites, and trolls. I find it funny how those Ps4 fanboys go off insulting the Xbox One because it looks like a Cable Box/VCR though the PS4 looks like a Xbox One but as a parallelogram…smh ps4 fanboys…smh…

I also found it sad that it appears to look like that Sony just tried to insult Microsoft when they announced the Ps4 will be available for cheaper prices, no game ownership restrictions. The Ps4 fanyboys then also proceeds to go to Xbox’s Facebook page and starts to visually insult the Xbox One and declares that the Ps4 has won the console war for this new generation. Sony then also proceeds to post a troll video on how to share games on the Ps4.

This really shows me how disgusting the Ps4/Sony community really is, how arrogant, immature, cocky, and the hypocrites and trolls and how professional they really are and to even think about them getting their hands on my money? I wouldn’t even get the Ps4 if it was for free. What makes you think that I will be represented by a community who acts like a bunch of kids?

Add-on

I personally found the games more intresting such as the new Halo. It was very intresting and I am curious to see what will 343i change that will be applied to the new Halo compared to Halo. Forza 5 was very intresting for me because I also like racing games. Titanfall looks very intresting and cool and it also brings curiosity (I didn’t watch the gameplay/trailer of Titanfall, if there was a gameplay). Minecraft looks fun and is very popular. The other games not so really, but I was more concerned about watching the new Halo trailer that I didn’t directly pay attention to the games.

Since I like/prefer Microsoft games/products, I would be more towards buying the Xbox One, regardless of the policies. The fact that the Xbox One is more expensive does not bother me considering the fact that this new generation might last for a couple of years. 100 bucks difference in my eyes is for the cost of the Kinect, and it is possible that Microsoft didn’t reveal all the properties which can increase the overall value of the Xbox One. Basically, if I were to spend were to spend 500 bucks for something that should last for the same amount as for 400 bucks, but comes with more qualities, such as Kinect, then I would buy the 500 dollar item.

Mandatory internet does not really hurt me at all since I prefer to play my Xbox with internet. I probably said this before but I would be bored/annoyed if I did not have the internet on the Xbox. Yes u might have to check in once everyday, but somethings are a hassle and there are somethings people might have to do regardless if they like it or not.

The used game policy does not affect me either. Again, I probably said this before but I don’t trade games with my friends, or sell/buy from them. I cant really sell my games to my friends on my Xbox Live as well so that policy has mostly no effect.

My reason for choosing the Xbox One is not only the community but also my preference and the games.

I think this link will hopefully help some people in deciding between the Ps4 and Xbox One and the policies with Xbox One.

Honestly, that’s not a very good reason.
I plan on getting a PS4 because the price is cheaper, I prefer the games they have, and the consumer policies are better to me.

Just because the Ps4 is cheaper does NOT mean the Ps4 people can act cocky, arrogant, etc. towards Xbox One due to the fact its 100 bucks more.

> Just because the Ps4 is cheaper does NOT mean the Ps4 people can act cocky, arrogant, etc. towards Xbox One due to the fact its 100 bucks more.

Why do you care what people say? Just get what you want because you want it.

OP, don’t let other people’s opinions get to you. You get the system you want. Don’t listen to haters on either side of this “console war”. It’s your decision.

I like to listen to what people have to say especially if it is towards negativity.

Dude, ALL fanboys do that. Trust me, in the coming days the Xbox trolls will come out from under their bridges and start -Yoink-. They’ve already done so on Bungie.net.

I guess but what did they really troll on Bungie.net ?

You have to understand, as well, that this EXACT sort of thing happened last gen with the PS3 and the 360, only the backlash was reversed.

The PS3’s launch price was $600 and there weren’t too many good launch titles that held weight. The Xbox fanboys were SHREDDING the console and the PS3 fans along with it just like what you’re seeing here but in the opposite order. In time, MS will (hopefully) see what they have done wrong and correct themselves to be a viable contender to the PS4.

Personally, I’m still stoked on the Xbox One with the exclusives that are coming with it. They held my attention much longer than the PS4’s. Titan Fall, Quantum Break, Project Spark, Ryse, Forza 5, the new Halo title, and a load of others kept me wide-eyed throughout the performance.

That’s not to say that the PS4 is bad, either. I personally own a 360 AND a PS3 and love each of them. God of War, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, inFAMOUS and a whole others keep me interested in the Playstation side of things as well. I don’t normally stick to one side for I like to have the best of ALL worlds, but not all go along this path.

In the end, like I said in my previous post, it’s your decision, brother. Go with what YOU like, not what the majority of the internet is saying.

I was never going to listen to the majority and never will.
I also never had that PS3 getting shredded by Xbox 360 experience mainly cuz i didnt have either of them at the time

I actually had a good run for Sony with KH3 and FFXV but… Wow, their obvious jabs at MS really made me think otherwise and I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who saw this as a big PR stunt to troll MS.

And the fanboy comments that ensued. Oh my god. I am not going to get a PS4 for the sole reason that Sony could have left it at the E3 conference, yet they posted a video about “How to share games with friends”. I don’t support a company who’s business tactic is to mock the other for its flaws.

That said, I still want MS to change the console for the better, and/or come upfront about how the console will work to win over the players.

PS4 has no DRM.

The fact MS thought they could get away with it is hilarious.

Also way to go lumping every gamer in the same fanboy boat. People who were excited were happy their games will not be held hostage to DRM like the xbox one will.

I hope Sony continues to mock MS. MS screwed up and should never be allowed to get away with ripping customers off with ridiculous DRM restrictions.

I wouldn’t settle for it and looks like Sony will not either. This is coming from someone who owns a PS3 and Xbox 360 but played on my 360 99% of the time this past generation.

I go where gamers are most welcome and Sony is doing just that.

True, PS fanboys are horrible. They’re also the only kind of fanboys I know that accuse anybody who likes (note: just openly says they LIKE) a certain other console of being a fanboy, while at the same time acting as if the term doesn’t apply to themselves.
And yes, Sony is arrogant as f—, and has been that way since they achieved the #1 spot in console gaming with the PS2.

Those things annoy me a little. Also because because in this case, the differences between the PS4 and XBO aren’t even that big, yet fanboys (on both sides) act as if they’re completely different. I mean: both are multimedia devices…Sony just doesn’t say it out loud, but make use of a tactical black out, forgetting they’re the ones who made consoles multimedia devices (PS2 marketed as a cheap DVD player, same with PS3 for Blu-Ray, PSP as a gaming/mp3/movie device) to “attack” MS.
Both come with cameras…Both need you to pay for online play…Both are heavily relying on sharing and community options…Both are heavily relying on constant internet connections, due to their huge focus on MMO genres this generation (even though Sony says you don’t need to be online 24/7, which is a good choice by the way, you don’t honestly believe you can play games like Destiny, MGS V, Elder Scrolls Online etc, or use the Gaikai streaming service, or the file/video sharing options if you’re not online do you?).

In the end it comes down to this:
Both consoles basically do the same thing.
MS just messed up with their DRM choice and their PR.

I will still buy a XBO however. Why?
Well:

  • Halo

  • Crimson Dragon (because a spiritual Panzer Dragoon successor is always welcome!)

  • Quantum Break (because Remedy always delivers)

  • Forza Motorsport 5

  • Titanfall

  • Dead Rising 3

  • Ryse

  • What lies Below (I believe its name was?)

  • Setting up live streams

  • Smartglass

  • Kinect for multitasking and things when I don’t want to use a controller

  • A controller that doesn’t deviate too much from the 360 design

  • I have a solid internet connection, so I won’t have any consequences of needing to be connected.

  • I actually use my console for more than just gaming, so all the extra multimedia stuff isn’t getting in the way of how I use my console.

I agree on how annoying it was…but there are other reasons for not choosing a PS4

They spent more then half of the confrence poking at the xbox one
They didn’t reveal many new improvments or go in depth to the ones they named.
About half of the exclusives they showed were only for the PS vita.
They spent a good amount of time on games not exclusive to sony.
They came out saying PS4 is a gaming system not an entertainment system like the X1 and then right off the bat started discussing movies and TV.
And the whole system feature wise doesn’t seem much different from a PS3.

Their whole selling point was pretty much “we arn’t microsoft.” That was it. And sadly because a majority of consumers are brainless idiots it will work.

I’m sticking with the xbox one. Because halo titanfall and other games. Plus playstation has never really had enough exclusives for me to justify getting a whole new system. I do find some of the restrictions X1 shows is annoying. But Honestly? They don’t effect me. And the benifits from these annoyances are great enough to me that i don’t mind.

Lol true considering they were talking about how Ps4 was a gaming system. But however the Xbox One is also a gaming system too and the price really reflects what people really want. I see 500 bucks as an entertainment system that can basically do everything i would need to be kept entertained with exclusive games, skype, etc. In my eyes I see 400 bucks as getting a gaming system who can use the internet and play games.

There are fanboys for all three factions(or four if you include PC elitists.)
Yes I encountered xbox fanboys at certain point. Yes, it is true that it is underwhelming situation for Xbox, but I have to say PS fanboys have been far more vocal and insulting than other 2 fanboys in my experience.

^they have always been. Despite there insults both consoles are going to sell well

This new generation is pretty much reverse what it was for the current gen. I picked 360 because it had more games I wanted for it, and because I love Halo. I didn’t get the PS3 because I only wanted MGS4 and nothing else. One game isn’t worth the console, and it costs more.

Now, I want the PS4 because there are more games I want for it, and the One only has Halo. Except the One has a ridiculous amount of stupid policies as well as a more expensive price tag.

The decision of which console to buy should NOT be influenced by just fanboys. Mine certainly has nothing to do with that. Me and my friend cheered at Sony’s pokes at the One because that clearly shows that the entire industry has a problem with it’s policies. The crowd went wild for a good reason.

No fanboyism here. Just an unbiased gamer with legitimate reasons to get one console over the other. Both current gen and next. The One is going to need more than Halo to sell me, just as the PS3 needs more than MGS4 for me. Games and policies. Not fanboyism.

Let me just say that if Microsoft fans were in the shoes of the Sony fans, they would be just as bad. I you base what you are going to buy over how people of the community act, then there is something wrong there. Every community has its’ bad apples. Don’t let them spoil the whole bunch.

The community/price/policy doesn’t influence me and NEVER will and it is not convincing at all that it is 100 bucks cheaper, lack of restrictions on used games, and internet connection required. That 100 bucks would be the difference between the two consoles but since these are new generation consoles, it should last until the next generation (which could be another 7/8 years) so 100 bucks more over the next 7-8 years isn’t so bad.

I don’t even share games with my friends (in real life) and mainly due to the fact that i cant share a game with a friend on Xbox Live, which is who i play with on Xbox most, if not all the time.

The fact that the Xbox One requires an internet connection to play games does not bother me at all. I currently have an Xbox 360, and i would usually always play while connected to my internet and i would complain that Xbox 360 would be boring without internet.
