I am currently champ 140 in FFA. Normally I play FFA everyday to maintain a low champ but ever since the Memories of Reach update I have been unable to really make any progress with my rank. The other day I placed first agains a champ and some high onyxs and only got 6csr, while the onyx in 2nd gained something like 15csr. I’ve heard of this happening to others before. I just want to know if this will fix itself next season. My ranks in other playlist don’t seam to have this problem, but I’m not champ in any other playlists.
champ easy to get in FFA which is why they made it more difficult to level up in. Also onyx has more gradient so it needs more CSR to progress whilst champ has only 200 gap of CSR to progress in. Also champ shouldn’t be progressing much since they beat lower ranks.

Champ is impossible for uk players with the blam usa servers we are put on. I believe i am champ standard but get put against onyx 2000s from usa and beat them but thats when only a fraction of my well aimed shots rehister and i see things later than everything meaning i hav to play that much better. So ffa might be easy for north americans to get champ in cos yiu have servet advantage over us eu players, but its impossible for us to get a fair match. Which i havr pointed out to Brav hundreds of times but he doesnt listen-cos brav cares only for usa champs and noonr else. Its a form of discrimination against us.

I’ve been stuck around 1900 - 2000 gaining a max of 10 meaning from 1900 to 1910 regardless if I play a full onyx lobby or not, and a 4th place finish puts me down 10-15.
If that seems a bit ridiculous, that’s because it is.
They’ve level locked you, my friend, and they’ve done the same to me.

I agree dude, o think we are both locked and can only go down now :(. Its a shame but 343 dont care. You never see this happen to a pro, but we all know 343 give them preferential treatment. I just wish they listened to us as we give much better feedback than they do. Give us the game for a few hours with their engineers and the game will be fixed-and the pros wont get everything handed out on a silver platter.
I think most pros have generally good ideastuff honestly. But they make too many inconsistent changes.
And they don’t reply to people on forums.
They never explained how the ranks actually work, either.

The inconsistencies make me the most upset. Especially the ffa placement system which is totally bonkers. Cos that ruins the rank system quite a bit. Like you say i just wish that 343 even acknowledged issues tather than historically ignoring them-their record is not great

Dude I played with you for like 3 games in a row the other day! hahah and I think that they “level” lock you with placement matches too. I’ve only placed into onyx twice in FFA, but every single season without fail I get back into onyx in no time and reach up to about Onyx 1700-2000 give or take

Makes sense. Never placed onyx (always plat 6/diamond 1) but always get there between onyx 1700 to onyx 1900. But yeah the system is slow to adapt. Feels like 1-50 at 48,49 polava in halo 3 again…
