Whenever i play on maps with the railgun i see so many people pick up so many kills with it and whenever i use it i usually just drain their shields when i hit them. Idk why my railgun only drains shields.

Then it would kill them. Your aim is probably slightly off. If it isn’t that then it’s out of your control, but it is most likely your own aim.

My boss has a clip where he blasts someone directly with the railgun and it only lowers the shields. It’s not just you.

I feel like sometimes you have to lead your shots… that’s how I use it in some situations and it works.
The railgun’s weird. Sometimes it kills someone at the range of a sniper rifle, other times it’s like nothing hit them at all.

It’s not just you. I’ve gotten a direct hit on someone and they walk away with hardly a scratch. This also isn’t the first thread made about this issue.
I have more than a few clips recorded of the Railgun not registering.
Aiming helps.
Railgun works fine for me, spartan laser however…
There is some netcoding and matchmaking tweaks still needing to be done.
I find the bullet magnetism to be very variable across a gaming session. Some games I get to be close with the reticle and still register shots, others I’m not even racking up the assists, though I know I’m hitting things.
Other times, I don’t even trade Sliver on Sliver sword hits, though it looks like I had health and timing advantage );
I regularly reset my modem/router and XB1 to play Halo, cause NAT being strict won’t prevent gaming BUT it does affect it. I’m willing to be, 90% don’t do at least that to their router, so most of our issues come fromcache saturated modems/routers.
Also, many modems are now modem-routers, and they don’t handle NAT as well as dedicated units do.

It’s lag. Sometimes, it gets in the way, and misplace your shots. I’ve had some moments where the Railgun hit people, and it does nothing. Most of the time, the Railgun works fine. You just gotta be careful where you shoot because if the players jump, the Railgun will misbehave and miss even though you aimed it right. That’s lag getting in the way. Oh well. Just keep trying.

Depends on how far the enemy is or how laggy a game is. But usually works for me.
I would practice with the Whiplash in Warzone if you have it
Have tried turning it off and on?
