My Problem with Sprint in Halo

I kind of feel like sprint is detrimental to the core gameplay of Halo and this is why.

In COD, sprint really works. It’s used offensively so you can get to the action quicker. In Halo, most people use sprint defensively instead. This is because Halo has a longer kill time and precision rifles have a longer attack range comparatively. So instead of using sprint to get to the action, it’s mostly used to run away when you get shot first. I actually feel like it slows down the game instead of speeds it up and would love a playlist without it.

Anyone else getting this vibe? I’m fine with all the other abilities to be honest.

Sprint makes Halo a awkward pop and stop shooter when it was clearly designed to be run and gun Arena style shooter. It has made the traditional small-med size map designs impossible in turn changing the game in more than one aspect. It does not belong in a Halo title and I will never see default sprint as a positive in the multiplayer.

I see what your saying but at the same time your not happy that gamers have a way to keep them from dying. Sprint has a helping hand in many situations in the game and im willing to bet you use it when your trying to get a way from someone whos trying to kill you. I would say however that a game type that was more of a “classic” Halo type would be great to see.
