My problem with Grifball

l’m glad 343 has fixed some issues with Grifball like the booting and out of map exploits but there is still one thing that is annoying me. -Yoinking!- Spartan charging. The amounts of times I go down with the enemy only because they spartan charge or shoulder bash whatever you want to call it, is getting really annoying. I’ve even gone into theater mode to assess what is going on and to try to understand it and what I found just doesn’t make sense to me. So l swing my hammer and kill him, pretty simple. I pause and see me alive and the enemy didn’t even touch me, press play and I get some delayed death. Maybe it’s the lag I don’t know, but it happens every single game to me.

The spartan charging wouldn’t even be so bad if the hit box wasn’t so ridiculously big. There’s hardly away to dodge it, can’t step back, can’t jump up, can’t side step. They just charge and we both kill each other. There has been a few times where I have killed them when they’re spartan charging me but I’m pretty sure it’s because I had host so my hammer had more range. It also doesn’t help that it only takes three or four steps to get the charge going. This is just from my experience so if you have a solution I would like to know how to get around it.

It’s not just the spartan charging either, it also happens with the sword and hammer. Like I swing and do the full animation of swinging my hammer and smashing them but I just randomly die with them just because they press the trigger. They just turn around and look at me and I die, they don’t even hit me. I know this happens in past Grifball from Reach and 4 but it never happens as much as it does in Halo 5.

Other then the stupid amounts of times I die at the same time as I kill the enemy and the annoying spartan charge I’ve really enjoyed Grifball in Halo 5.

I personally love it, seeing spartans shoulder check each other is hilarious.

Ya that is lag, it is especially apparent if you are using wifi and the enemy is cable connected. Cable is always faster then wifi.

Grifball (besides the rare cases in Fiesta) is the only game mode to show the lag of enemies warping around and going out of sync for a few moments.

And even when it’s stable and clear… I still die, and score a Kill From The Grave after I respawn.
