While im just as excited as anyone else about the new stuff, im kinda worried the new wasps will ruin WZ for solo q players or small fireteams. The reason is that full fireteams can coordinate the spawn of the wasps en once there are 4 or 5 in the air theres not much you can do.
It already happens now when you play a full fireteam and youre doing good, but then they start pulling out wasps and you get pushed back all the way. Now you can pull out a arclight or a railgun and counter it, but first you have to get req 4 or 5. So most of the times you already lost the mid base.
So im worried this problem will be even worse with the new wasps. What do you guys think?
The Wasp is pretty rare and I am guessing these are REQ 4 and 5 if not higher for the ONI n Hannibal respectively. If they’re as glass cannon as normal wasps I think they won’t be as bad as Banshees and 4-5 is a little high.
They’ll probably be death. But no worse than whats already in the game with ultra banshee’s and the like.

I still think the Ultra Banshee either needs to have its bomb cooldown increased slightly or be moved to REQ level 8.
I don’t think the Hannibal Wasp will be as brutal as the Ultra, but then again any tool in the right hands… Their rarity in card drops will also play a part in this. Banshee Ultras are soooo very rare, and it’s likely the new wasps will be pretty hard to find as well. Heck, the standard issue Wasp is already pretty darn rare!

Ultra banshee’s seem to pop up fairly frequently for me, but I’m crap at using them. Have you tried buying silvers instead of golds?

We might be, but even having plenty of powerful reqs sometimes doesn’t help. Especially if you’re a mostly solo player. I have a company mate/wingman/bro who I fireteam with several times a week, but I still gotta get my solo on.
there’s apparently"changes" coming to warzone and arena,maybe, finally, they may implement full teams vs full teams and solo Q vs solo Q, just a thought
I do worry about Wasp spam from coordinated teams. It can get back enough from the regular Wasp. I do share your concern but at least by that point you should have some weapons that can lock on by that point and hopefully the armor won’t be drastically improved

I cleaned out my stockpile since I never use the majority…15k+ reqs sold with still roughly 1k left in arsenal. It’s nice too have them their if needed lol
a wasp is still a wasp…ultra banshees die to 3-4 arclight shots (on wheelman) so id assume that 2-3 arclight shots can bring down these vehicles too… arclight is pretty common as well and is only req level 5…its a good move tho, cuz a wasp was still underpowered as compared to the other air vehicles, now they can make much more of an impact on the battlefield without being grossly unbalanced.

You should see the destruction when you use an Arclight with a Damage Boost. Banshees are nothing more than flying, smoldering coffins when you let loose on them.
