This post contain SPOILERS from Halo: Glasslands. You’ve been warned.
In the newest ViDoc “A Hero Awakens” there is a couple scenes that really got me thinking. The first one was the scene where Cortana tells the Chief that she’s been in service for 8yrs and AI deteriorate after 7. The Chief replys that they will get back and find Halsey who will fix Cortana’s rampancy. Now for those of you who read Glasslands, you know that Halsey has been arrested for war crimes. There is also another scene where somebody (Infinity’s Captain?) is yelling and pointing in Chief’s face, er, visor and the Chief steps menacingly towards him. 343i has also been emphasizing that the Chief and Cortana relationship will be explored a fair bit.
So what does all this mean? I am pretty certain it means that Master Chief is going to rebel to break Halsey out of prison, or whatever means of captivity she’s in, its been a while since I read the book.
So yeah, that’s my prediction. Discuss if you wish.
