Before the update I practiced a lot on my BR and could and would win about 80% of my battles, but after the update ( which I love by the way) my accuracy has fallen and it almost feels “loose” or “swingy” the only thing I can think of was the boost to player speed for the cause. anyway I was just wondering if anyone else was having issues or if I’m just in a rut
A little bit. I haven’t played too much of the weapon tuning to know exactly, but it does kind of seem like it. Perhaps it’s just because the game is a lot more fast-paced now?
I honestly have no clue.
I’m guessing it was the bump in player movement speed. Aim assist and bullet magnetism are less of a factor now because players are moving across the map faster and strafing is more effective.
that’s what I was thinking I just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing it or not
yep, my kd has fallen 0.6 in 3 days. It’s all lost to assists now. I am really starting to dislike Halo now. Seems the devs have been playing Crysis 3 and trying to copy it but missed the memo on slightly nerfing the DMR. Making halo 4 the way it is now is wrong. My opinion.
All because some people wanted a nerf on the DMR. Slowing the DMR to the RoF of the Lightrifle and problem solved.
Crysis 3 update is nice though. Put that one in like I did and you’ll feel better about it.
My accuracy fell and then climbed back and settled. This is due to the reduced magnetism on all primaries in combination with the movement speed increase. All though the speed increase doesn’t help directly traverse maps faster it gave a significant buff to strafing and a decent increase on the distance of thruster pack.
Those 2 things in combination make the game do less of the aiming and more of the player having a better shot. It seems from my experiences this has greatly caused a divide between those who can aim and those who can’t. Which increased the skill gap.
All positive things if you ask me.
agreed, I’m not complaining just curious if it was just me or not. it feels like more traditional halo again, I’ve been playing since CE so its not that big of a deal to me just means more practice which in my opinion makes the game better. bigger skill gap and ways to make your own individual game style, this in my opinion is what makes halo better than all the others.
It’s not just you.
“Loose” is the best way to describe the BR feel.
For the first day or so but now it just feels soooooooooooooooooo right.
The more I play Halo 4 Turbo, the more I like it. The Carbine and BR are absolute beasts once you get used to the extra movement speed.

Are you kidding? you dont like halo now because its hard to aim?
i dont know what your all’s problem is… my over all K/D is going up since the update, and my accuracy has actually improved, been using the carbine and light rifle lately, and with the carbine especially, I win most of my battles.
Since the update, I’ve used my BR very little.
I’ve fallen in love with the Light Rifle.
And the Carbine is my go-to weapon for smaller maps.
Maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t noticed it getting any harder to aim.
In fact, since the update, I’ve gotten two perfections.
And I almost had another two, but died once in those matches.
This game is much easier for me now.

Halo is better than everything else. My opinion.
I play other games, but nothing comes close to Halo.
Especially not Crisis.
The BR is harder to aim because it was like it was glued to the opponent’s face before. It actually requires people to be good now.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It’ll just take some time go get used to.
Been noticing that too. I had to reduce the aim speed on my settings to get used to aim again since the movement speed helps players get out of the aim assist than before the update.
Yup. Its due to the faster player movement speed, so while strafing it is harder to hit shots. Also, enemies can strafe faster which makes it harder to hit them. I’m sure everyone will eventually adjust but if you are playing at a sensitivity above 3, you may want to consider temporarily going down 1 sensitivity just to adjust to having to aim more precisely. (btw, with the increase in movement speed, the DMR has also become a little bit harder to aim with while strafing.)
PS: but in the short run since players have yet to adjust, I’ve had some pretty awesome moments where someone had a 1 or 2 shot advantage, but with a strafe and a perfect 4 shots, I was able to out BR the player. There is definitely a bigger skill gap at the moment which is something people would always complain about on these forums pre-TU.
