I posted a topic earlier today and now it’s gone. Was it violating some terms or was it a server error?

another wondering about the what and where of your post…but if you don’t see it, my guess is it was removed or something.
If it was offensive or the mod just deleted it, then there’s your standard explanation.
To be honest OP, you don’t give us much to work on, so i’ll assume the above.
If it was deleted, you would have received a warning. If not, then it was probably a forum bug or something.

search your username in the search page, you may have just lost it

I sometimes find that my replies take a bit to finally show up. Usually a refresh will take care of it.

Yeah, I get that same bug too. It comes and goes.I hope they get it straitened out soon.

You don’t get one when they edit or delete your posts, unless they also decide to temporarily or permanently ban you.
As others said – try rechecking the thread. Most of the time when you submit a post, it doesn’t appear instantly after the thread reloads, but rather after a second reload.

You can sometimes see why they edited your post if you click “Edited by Moderator” in the bottom right of the post that was edited. You are right though if it gets deleted there is no sign of it that I am aware of. I do like the redirect for moved threads. I find it very helpful. Hopefully one day they’ll have a way of blocking the posts content and still have the post viewable similar to B.net, so at least the OP knows what happened to it.
