I like the job of Der Flatulator6 in the other thread. I did want reply there, but i dont want add confusion in that thread, so i opened one similar.
I think that the idea of maintain classic reach and Tu playlist, togheter, can be good but th reach problem is the few population. So we must not be dispersive. Two teams slayer is impratical imho. This is my proposal for competitive playlist:
COMPETITIVE
Team Slayer
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Team Swat
ZB
only run AA
Team Snipers
ZB
only run AA
Squad Slayer 5vs5
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Squad slayer 6vs6
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Rumble pit
ZB
AA Tu changes allied
Team Objective
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Double Team
-85% bloom
only run AA
Multi Team
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Invasion
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Big Team Battle
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Premium Battle
-85% bloom
-AA Tu changes applied
Arena
ZB
only run AA
team slayer & community maps
permanent ranking (no seasons)
little propose for ranking: Partial BPR relative to playlist, displayed near the actual rank in pregame lobby.
(partial because griffball, living dead and others playlist can distort it).
BRP is the same as adding a new ranking system, it would require UI changes not simply possible with the resources 343i have.
> TrueSkill ranking is being used to find good matches inside the MLG playlist (and all other playlists as well). However, since almost all of our resources and people are currently committed to Halo 4, we simply don’t have the resources available to do what would, by necessity, be a fairly dramatic overhaul of the UI and certain systems to expose that number. This is simply the way Reach was built.
>
> We are willing and happy to continue our work with MLG to fine-tune skill matching within that playlist, the goal being to strike a good balance between competitive games and matchmaking times. We are in constant contact with the MLG officials, so give them your feedback via the normal methods they have in place, and we’ll continue working with them to make the MLG playlist the best it can be. Thanks!
This does not take into account the vast population of players who enjoy pre-TU Reach. Although you may disagree with them, their preferences are just as valid as yours so please reconsider your proposal to support games without TU changes.
Specifically Invasion, TS, and TO. A far more reasonable proposal has already been offered, i would suggest you look into it.

I’m sorry to say this, but this whole TU vs PRe-TU debate doesn’t afect 95% of Halo Players. Most o them don’t even know about this. By changing the playlists, no one will know what changed. People would most likely think they increased damage.
Well i dont appreciate random statistics to justify an argument. But i will acknowledge that most of the halo community is unaware of the politics taking place on these forums.
But as i said before, because you disagree will someone else, that does.not make their opinions invalid. I believe that a separation of the settings would be far more reasonable. I dont want TU settings and you guys do. So can we agree to disagree and each get what we want?
Additionally, if a great population of the community is unaware of these debates, how can we hope to make an informed decision on a unified set of game settings? I understand that you want to see a different side of reach, but you do not speak for those that are unheard. Der Flatulator’s proposal offers an enjoyable experience for everyone, is that not enough?
If you feel he has left something out, that is something to discuss with him.
