Before I begin, let me just say that I understand that this has been a hot topic in Halo since Halo: Reach. I’m well aware by now that sprint is either loved or hated in Halo, but this isn’t what my post is about. This post is MY personal take on sprint and if it should return or not in Halo: Infinite. I personally think that it should be removed all together and the base movement speed be increased to 120% or 125% to replace and make up for it. That would make movement as well as gameplay feel fast pace like classic Halo multiplayer but better. However if it should return, then it needs to be balanced in such a way that it doesn’t hurt gameplay. The best way that could happen is if when you sprint your weapon is never lowered and you can still fire as well as throw grenades and melee. I also think that jumping should be raised a little as well as being able to go around corners more tightly and being slowed down when taking damage to complement it. I don’t like the way it’s implemented in Halo 5 though as it slows down gameplay. Well this is my personal take on sprint and whether it should stay or go in the next Halo game.
