My personal suggestion

I want to raise a point.

As a seasoned halo fans hailing from ce when the screen was the size of the original Xbox, I don’t feel compelled to play halo 5 Guardians anymore. I love the campaign, it was a great addition to the story (how ever much I disagreed with the direction of the story it was done very well) but there is only so many times you can play the missions. The online is fun, WITH friends, but ultimately it’s not rewarding enough. You feel really disappointed regularly when you save up those bloody req points for a gold pack, and you get those last few commons that have been added in the last update. It almost like saving up for that brand new car, and being told the last one has been sold. I personally feel like players aren’t being rewarded for playing, but being rewarded by spending money. I consider myself an above average player and I just can’t agree with the idea of being rewarded randomly. After some matches I feel like I deserve so much better than just another regular ghost, mongoose and wraith. Not the sword variants but the standard variants. It’s boring and disappointing after winning a match of warzone, going 60+ kills and less than 8 deaths and opening a gold pack to find a mongoose certification and speed boost. Then entering the next 10 matches and having your neck throttled by ultra banshees, oni scorpions, spnkr prime launchers. It gets borderline depressing when opening the next gold pack and seeing an rare armour piece and more mongooses. It’s painful. If you were required to get a kd of 50 to purchase the next mythic tier weapon, armour piece, assassination, visor…I would be more encouraged to play. As the current time there is no need to actually play. The ranking system is boring because you are so impersonally attached to your rank for a week before its stripped away. It leaves you with no sense of achievement. Then warzone…you are guaranteed to be placed on a losing team for your first match, fighting completely ridiculous odds, non stop vehicle call outs slamming down on your bases. Not to mention the fact that your ability as an individual can completely be erased if a single enemy has a powerful req. ultra banshees, high five, prophets bane, tartarus’ gavel. In fact most of the ultra rare+ list can end a conflict with ease. your are so easily demoralised by this negative onslaught it is so easily understandable why a lot of people do not support the req system. In its current state it would be 100% better if your skill determined what reqs you can access. A brief example. A player finished a match, he achieves a “master” rank, they can then select any oone of the reqs to redeem and receives the certification for. A second player achieves “above average” rank, they can select any req that is rare and below to receive the commendation for. Then buying req packs can stay the same accept you are rewarded different amounts of reqs. Bronze can be 5, silver can be 10 and gold can be 15. Then players will feel much more rewarded for using their personal achievements within the game to actually collect items for use in the various game modes.
Seeing as halo 5 has continued successfully thus far, I can’t expect any major change that I am suggesting to actually reach the right ears.
Rant over - ultimately I would prefer the req system to simply be omitted from any further games as I feel it to be the heart and soul of the reason why the current game is boring for me. But please do not implement this current system in the next halo. Or it would have been thoroughly ruined for me ~_~

thanks for for reading this far.

well first off, the req things, the more things you dont have certifications for, example, warthogs and mongoose (mongeese, whichever) is on you, buy all, all ALLLLLLL ALLLLLL the bronze till you get req points back. then do that to silver, because when you start getting gold packs, you won’t be getting mongoose and petty little ghosts. It is rewarding when you FINALLY get the nornfang certification… but it’s damn near impossible to collect those puppies from gold packs, I get 6000 back from each one i open, i open roughly 10 a day, and maybe MAYBE get lucky with just one, but i play it for the team, the gameplay, and the chaos and laughter at random moments, but rage… a F*** TON of rage!!! XD Ahh, but still, i like it. you just need to know what to do and not to do, and have a solid team.
